How many Curecoins could someone expect to get off mining with, say a 7950?

It really means something to me to participate in such a GOOD endeavor.

To the miners:
Tell me if you have any problem with my pool so that I can improve it.
The starting difficulty of the VARDIFF if '1024'.
You you think it is too low for most sha256 mining equipment I can make it higher.

Thanks for the miner that joined with some serious hashing power Smiley

Please let me know if you have any problem with my pool.

Also keep in mind the value of the IPO BTC, at least double what it's worth now, if the IPO was six months ago.  ROI isn't quite so huge as it seems, if you take that into consideration.  Also, just imagine the opportunity cost of having your BTC tied up in a project that took six months to get off the ground.  Lots of great crypto investment opportunities have risen (and fallen) in that time period.

The investor ipo is off putting IMO. It is just way too many coins given out for the amount of btc. I know there is no way to fix it now, but it is a big issue for me. Why not change the halfing to every year and increase the amount of coins distributed the first couple years. Currently at around 950000 points a day, it will take me nine months to get 10,000 coins, with this decreasing as the diff rises.  I agree that initial investors should be able to reap some reward, but that is ridiculous. It was handled poorly and is the elephant in the room for this coin.

This may be off putting to you but what would be more off putting would be if the devs would have promised the initial investors an amount when they invested and then changed the agreement closer to launch after they had the investors BTC for the development stage. I think how it was handled is the correct way, even if it suits you and I both poorly. It was a great investment for those individuals, but wasn't it open to the public?

I have 6 million points and 2 curecoins

is that correct?

Do you have 6 million points total or 6 million ppd (points per day). Those 2 are different things.. What is your username?

I have 6 million points and 2 curecoins

is that correct?

Maybe.  If you put a massive amount of power on folding in the last day or so, it's quite possible that all that got recorded for the daily snapshot was enough points to earn you 2 coins.  You'll make up the difference in the next payout, since it does a delta between "today" and "yesterday" to figure out your daily points.

That's all assuming that you're folding for the right team (224497) with all your rigs/bots, and that the username you used on CryptoBullion matches what you use to fold.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I am for finding a way to open CureCoin folding rewards to members of ANY team. People need to understand, some of these teams are very old, very passionate, and very dedicated to their teams and about *volunteering* their *donations* to the fold at home project. Please understand that FAH has been going for 14 years. [H]ardOCP has been doing it since 2000. The EVGA team has been doing it for 7 years. We've been doing it for one week.

We're the bull in the china shop right now, and when you talk about recruiting from other teams, you're talking about destroying other teams that have had to work a thousand times harder than us to accomplish what they have accomplished. That's wrong, and believe it or not - it will drive people in the FAH community away, because we've killed it for them.

Now suppose the value of CureCoin does fall. Will you still be folding? Because that's what many of them are talking about when they talk about us. Cheating. Dropping units in the hunt for higher payouts. That we'll just move on to something else three months from now. The best thing about us, to them, is that we're introducing new people to the Folding@Home program that might just stick around after the tide of CureCoin miners leave.

The reactions to us haven't exactly been brilliant. They're floored, for sure, about the hash-power we've managed to drum up. But we're hurting the huge communities that have been built up by dividing them and forcing them to break ranks and join our team if they want to take part in our coin. If everyone joins our team, what's the point of having teams in the first place. Eh?

No. No recruiting from other teams. And until the devs find a way to include members from *any* team, I would encourage people in other teams to KEEP donating what they can afford to their teams, and to utilize the CureCoin program to facilitate their ability to donate more.

My total went from 1.8 million points to 2.5 million in between last night and this morning (before they payout), yet somehow I only got credited for around 300k.  This has happened for multiple days in a row.  What gives?

You understand that 2.5 million points is the amount of points you've accumulated total but not the amount of points you get paid for EVERY DAY right?

You're getting 300k ppd (points per day), which you're getting credited for. This is correct. Your understanding of how maths work, that's wrong.

Hoping a trusted dev could vet the Mac wallet.  Has anyone been using it?

Since there's only like 6 people who actually use a Mac, the odds of one of the developers having one would be virtually nil.

I kid.

Seriously - you have anti-virus software right? Scan it yourself before opening it. Test it out to see if it works. Oh wait Macs dont get viruses right? Smiley

How many curecoins are there in existence as of right now?

Around 610 000+ in circulation

'Devs, how are you getting you user stats right now ? I cant see why all the miners have to stay in the CureCoin team when you could just use a script that check's the stats via the username.... Or am I missing something ?
Thinking about it, it would make folding Cures so much more fun as you get the competition between different "mining teams" as well.

I agree. You could do that, or have a place on cryptobullionpools to enter what team number you're on there. On top of that, if you could record a person's current point total on joining, then people who have been folding for a while could take part as well without having to leave their teams.
