I see there is a de-listing warning on Bittrex for Curecoin now.  It says the following:

"This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on November 7th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC."

That's a bummer - I don't have enough to trade and Bittrex is a major exchange for us.

Yeah it bummed me out as well! Angry  Hopefully the volume will rise enough to keep Curecoin listed.

Who has more miners/folders now I wonder, gridcoin or curecoin? Gridcoin is in like 141st place for most BOINC generated. But just curious.
I am the enthusiast of both coins (and please don't forget about undervalued CPU-only ripple-based ResearchSupportCoin). One part of my hardware is working for gridcoin and another part for curecoin. I can see advantages and disadvantages. Your question "who is on better place" in ranking is completely wrong way of thinking. Both coins should do some things to improve, I mean technically and good information (if you want, I can list them). Both have unjust way of rewarding, but both have future. There's one fundamental difference: gridcoin needs help and has wider perspectives, but curecoin is older and seems to be more stable.

It's always interesting to hear what people think would improve things - do let us know your ideas.

Actually Curecoin is younger than Gridcoin by at least six months.   Grin  Gridcoin was released in late 2013 and Curecoin wasn't released until May of 2014.

mh: Gridcoins doubled in price in the last 30 days.

https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_grc

Someone please find their secret sauce.

I think it's just because they launched the new version.
Probably, the same will happen when the new curecoin is out.

I agree.  They was supposed to launch the new version this week and there was quite a run up to it.  I didn't check to see if the new version was actually released though.  They was still testing the last I saw.

I hope we see the same with Curecoin.

Edit:  I did check now and it looks like there are some problems, which leads me to say again how well Curecoin has been done.  It is virtually problem free.  Yes we run into issues with the folding but never with the wallet.  Well done dev's!

I've got a rig folding from 12 hours with 2 radeons 5870 (cpu folding disabled, it's a dual core pentium), but they make just 34700 PPD together. Seems too low (?).
ATI driver is the latest (downloaded yesterday). Log below. Any advice welcome.

P.S. anyone has experience downvolting Radeons to fold? These babies used to mine for years finely at 0.985 v.
and could Xfire them be a good idea for folding?

I'm not sure about how much PPD you should generate.
But 34700 PPD is way too low.

Is there a reason you don't have your mac wallet listed in the op?   Huh

Also, is there not a working block explorer currently?

Could the mining pool list be updated as well?

[EDIT] Also, there is just this very short statement which is unclear and overlooked next to all the other info and graphics...
"PoS mintage model also included."

Proof of stake can be a very popular feature.  I think you should make it more clear that your a proof of stake coin and provide more details on that.

Just bought some curecoin.  Happy to now be a part of this community.  I hope I can find a place to help push this project forward.  Smiley

Welcome aboard!  I suspect you will see more information about Curecoin when the devs get done with cc2.0.  They are making a lot of improvements so much of what is in cc1.0 won't apply anymore.

Here is a link to what is known so far.

Smiley

Tried pausing, but it changes really nothing... On folding forums I can get an info to set my gpu usage to 100% or 1 or things like that. Tried all of them. But what about people here, on this forum, who fold with their GPUs?

I've been folding without issues on r9 290 at 1050/1250, load at 100% mostly, sometimes it goes down.
If I start any other process, even trying to leave a cpu core for every gpu free, the gpu usage goes down.
I.e. I can fold at maximum speed only if I leave it alone :-)

I've been folding with my GPU for some hours and there's one thing I don't understand aticonfig --odgc shows 1-15% gpu load only, and cpu has much shorter estimated time then gpu... What to do to have 90-100% gpu load?

Unfortunately I'm not sure what --odgc is.  I run ATI cards, but I use MSI Afterburner to determine GPU load.  Some WU's will be a steady 100% and others will move around a bit but stay close to 100%.  I've seen some WU's that get stuck with a very low GPU utilization but that was for Core 16 WU's.  I haven't been getting many Core 16 WU's lately though.

What GPU are you using and what is the Core for the WU being processed?

aticonfig --odgc is an opencl configuring tool showing actual clocks and gpu load
gpu is radeon 6850, cpu is 2-core athlon
I've added all possible parameters to slot, like client-type advantage and gpu-usage 95 etc, changed the priority of fah client, but no way, the gpu utilisation is a few percents, max 15%, and the gpu often goes idle. Because of that the fah manager shows ETA 1-2 days (CPU), but 9 days (GPU).
I mean the utilisation of gpu, not the percentage of the work unit.

It is possible that your CPU folding is choking your GPU folding, try pausing  your CPU WUs and see if your GPU utilization increases. Other than that, folding forums are probably the best place to ask around. Smiley
