If this PlayMarket token is indeed an investment then why is the commission only 1%? (Or is it 5%? White paper is a bit difficult to understand about this) Would be more attractive for investors if the commission was closer to the competition but low enough to get developers in board. For example 15% which is the half of Google Play.
commission value may be depend on value of token i think. But i agree should be bigger incentive for developer at least initially.

is the commission paid in tokens? then yeah, the value depends on the token on the market

DAO PlayMarket2.0 has the platform-based PLAYMARKET FUND

All holders of the PlayMarket Token (PMT) automatically become co-owners of the platform-based PlayMarket Fund (PMF). The fund receives 5% of the issued tokens of mobile apps placed via the platform. PMT owners have the opportunity to trade them on the PlayMarket Exchange (PEX), or hold them for receiving dividend income. Also owners can trade PMT on third-party exchanges.
Trading of the PlayMarket 2.0 token will be launched after the end of the ICO.

So this will be defined as a security in the US and Singapore?

that's a good observation. it might be considered as a security.
If it is solid & indeed secure, why not...
But, security is a very touchy topic, and the more secure something is made, the more eyes are on it from those who want to bring it down... Which means.. the dev team will have to be sure about there coding & technology so those kind of people are demotivated to bring it down...

And I would be choosing the dividend over cashing out anyhow.
I'm convinced that hodling on to the tokens make the coin strong and builds trust towards the development team. Fast dumpers bring such projects out of balance.

What the heck are you babbling about, webwakko? A security is a tradeable financial asset. If you run an ICO you don't want your tokens to be securities because then you get into trouble with American regulators.

Indeed this is a security!
This will exclude a lot of potential investors. You ever thought about that?

It looks like its a security in relation with the "dividend" word highlighted above. Smiley

Anyway, US people will still be able to join this project by buying tokens on exchanges.

Hello! The comission is only 1% for publication. Dividends for the investor depend on the number of applications released on the ICO, as the developer pays 5% to the fund. That's why the comission is so low, it is needed to attract developers.

Very nice to see that new advisor on board, it’s pretty important for the sucess of a project, investors put a lot of importance in that. DAO Playmarket will be really supported, an apps store based on blockchain is really disruptive.

In my opinion it's 100% a security. Recent ICOs to solve this situation issued two types of tokens, one utility and the other security, or an internal token. But here I don't think any of them would serve a solution. Well, you will never see PMT on US exchanges but who cares?

they might run into issues with US users. I think they may not allow US investors to participate in the ICO.

The launch will be in 06.2018 and the website says, 500+ apps will be available at launch. Is this a realistic plan? How will they get 500 apps on the platform?

500 applications this is actually very small for the store. I think they will easily get so much from the developers. If they promised 5,000 or 50,000 applications, I would doubt, but 500 is the real figure. Although this is almost an empty store without a choice.

I'll be interested in the quality of the apps - which can make a huge difference. It would be good if some already existing popular apps could be placed on the store as 'highlighted' apps, which would help users give a sense of familiarity.

How about bounty program? Wink

We don't have bounty  Smiley

Easy way to promote your project, you should think about it.

And because of you are paying with your tokens it is not coming out of your pocket. It is coming out of your investors Smiley

Actually, when i thought it now, it is way better for investors that ico doesn't make a bounty program.

interesting question. i think they will manage that look at apps like metamask which deal only with blockchain technology. since the communitiy ( and so the market) is getting really big no there will more apps appear. big exchanges had like a million new users the last days that means that blockchain technology is now ready for the big mass ( might be effected by the bitcoin fork but whatever it happens right now)
