It's bad, sadly I did have a brief chance to sell at a slight gain, and held. Now once all selling is completed, I expect it to be a total loss of HALF my investment. Not good.. But I'm certain that If I had waited much longer, I would only have 1/4 my initial investment or worse.

You only lose if you sell. You should hold onto it a bit longer. I am in no rush to sell and my masternode is still working fine.

The real problem is there are certain pools that shift their hash rates to other coins when a hard block is detected, and then shift back when the easy blocks come up. Sometimes a majority of the hash rate disappears on a hard block.

This sounds like a logical explanation but wouldn't that mean that many other coins have the same problem? Especially if the switching would happen automatically?

This was an issue noticed by a community member a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I think the wallet/masternode problems, exchange maintenance and drop in value have compounded together and the hashrate has drastically reduced overall.

I see. But as I said it is an interesting observation because pools might not only act that way for this coin. But I understand as you said there have been several things happening at the same time.

My wallet has been out of sync for a while now. It says it can't find a block source. This happened after upgrading to 12.1.5. Do I need to addnode in the das.conf file?
