It appears like BTER opened their doors again. The charts look like they are suspended in time.
I've decided to help the cause and opened a pool for EXC.
http://exc.manhattanmine.comI have built a Block Explorer for this coin, being that the old one was down.
http://www.cryptoplorer.com:3005/I've also shot an email to a friend pitching the idea to add EXC to his exchange.
Good luck moving forward. Let me know if there is anything i could do to help.
Thank you so much for giving EXC a pool and a block explorer.
I have already added your block explorer to the website.
As for the addnode for over a year I have been paying £45 a month for a cloud server which was acting as addnodes for several coins and a few services.
The last few months I have had to cut back, as I do Crypto work in my spare time but I have now found a cheaper monthly Linux VPS which I will put EXC onto.
Once it is up and running I will update the OP and just like the old VPS it will be a 24/7 addnode so clients will always get a connection.
Extremecoin will probably end up on Cryptopia eventually once their servers have been upgraded but it is not getting onto an exchange that's the hard part, it is keeping the trading volume high.
Now with EXC we already have the supply of coins at a sensible rate so all we have to do is to create some demand for this long running coin.
This will mean either getting Extremecoin onto an already running merchant payment processor or starting one, once EXC is on a decent and reliable exchange.
I use quite a lot of different types of legal web stores (Game Keys, PSN Codes, etc) that accept Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin as a method of payment.
I think with the speed of EXC's confirmations, steady but sensible daily block reward total, that these merchants could be persuaded to at least give it a trial run.
If we can get the supply and demand balanced correct then the price / worth of Extremecoin will naturally be determined by people using EXC for online purchases and not just for trading alone.
Another thing that EXC needs is Linux and Mac wallet clients, if anyone can help with the Mac client that would be excellent, I should be able to compile the Linux one, for download and for the VPS.
Does anyone else have any ideas or even comments about what I posted above?
Many thanks and it is glad to see support coming back for a coin I have kept running for around a year and a half now with my Cloud Server and domain hosting costs.
I will never stop supporting a coin I release or abandon it; I am stubborn like that and I want to see EXC up there with the top Crypto-Currencies and that can only be achieved with a team effort all pushing in the same direction and with a huge amount of support behind it all.
Just one last point and this kind of a big one; we need to keep the EXC clients as simple and as user friendly as possible. There are still a large amount of the general public and businesses not willing to even take on PayPal, partly because of their charges but also to do with a lack of understanding how it works.
Getting started You Tube videos like how to setup a client, how to send and receive a payment, how to mine, how to check your transactions progress using a block explorer.
The easier and more simple we make Extremecoin to use as a form of a quick and virtually fee free global payment system, the higher the chances are of general public adoption, at least for online payments to start with.
