When asked in the Reddit thread (mentioned below) about M2's release date, Paul Snow replied:

"We are testing, and will release a Test Net first, and run that for a few weeks. If all goes well, then we will release. So I'd watch for the Test Net."

Yeah .. reading between the lines here for those with eyes to see. LOL

The "So I'd watch for the Test Net." seem like a double entendre. Hinting to very soon. Just speculating thought take with a grain of salt.

Can someone remind me if the public testnet was promised by end of Sept, or M2?

Goals For August / September 2016:
Network Goal: Surpass 4,000,000 entries in the Factom Network Investment Goal: Close Series A, add additional strategies. Business Goal: Focus in on key industries with highest profitability. Development Goal: Promote Factom public Testnet release candidate to production

Pretty close to 4mil entries with 2 weeks left to go. Seems they are executing and hitting their targets.

Paul seems to play close to the vest, and would rather under promise and over deliver. Factom as a company does that. It's been said before, other crypto's announced in a press release when it's a developers birthday. Factom has so much going on they only announce on real news.

The "So I'd watch for the Test Net." seems like a double entendre. Since it was repeated, hinting at very soon. Just speculating, take it with a grain of salt.

I want to mention something kind of related to Paul and double entendre's it's one of those things that stuck out. Kind of seemed a little non-sequitur, a little out of charter I guess. Watching a youtube video a few weeks ago, Paul was talking at the end I believe to a question in relation to other cryptos, Visa, Master card sized volume transactions, and what Factom can do. "People are going to be blown away at what Factom can do." I'm paraphrasing a little but that's the general statement. To hear Paul say that was kind of a whoa-wow moment that stuck with me.

There was recently a commit from their Senior QA Analyst.
Its really close.

Well the good news is from everything I've gathered everything seems to be on track.

Company Aug-Sept release date it's still Sept.
All the hints we've got.

The massive rise in Factoms price without news ? Insider increasing stake ?
Github massive drop about M2
Exodus working with Factom on new wallet release/ talked about the M2 release.
Reports of exchanges temp disable ? Hard-fork ?
Factom now on both chains BTC/ETH
Senior Factom analyst "It's really close"
Paul Snow Ceo  "we are testing the heck out of M2"
Paul "working to improve the wallets too"
Paul said to watch for the testnet release then 2 weeks after.

In other words "Keep calm and Factom"

Factom price? Possibly sideways price action, or a whale trying to capitalize one last time before the M2.
We should see another spike on the Testnet release and a ramp up from there.

From Reddit

You can move your FCT to a paper wallet.
We are working to improve the wallets too, and we are testing the heck out of M2.

it looks like the wallet is under maintenance on polo

Most likely related to the M2 release. I spoke with Daniel Castagnoli Exodus Co-Founder & CCO via email about 2 weeks ago regarding release of Factom's wallet. He said  "I can say this; we are in early integration testing with the Factom team now. There is a vital component (called receipts in the upcoming Factom Milestone 2 release) we require before Exodus support is complete."  So who knows that was 2 or so weeks ago.  So there is definite movement on both sides going on right now.

Looks like M2 roll out will start soon, likely a process through the month with public testnet going live. Maybe we get one last weekend panic dip to load into but seems like alot of bigger sellers have been exhausted; haven't seen any those huge 100k lot sells in awhile.

What I find surprising is that there are these problems on Polo (not sure about Bittrex, anyone?) since over 24 hours without them saying anything or "temporarily disable" it if they have to fix something.

Just tried it again:

Is that because you are sending the same amount as the fee?

I tried to send 2 FCT to my paper wallet yesterday, but still hasn't shown up in the explorer ...

0.1 FCT is Fee on Polo...

Just asked the mods on polo if they were having any trouble with FCT withdrawals and they stated that everything looked fine at their end - how many of us are still having trouble?

I see the drop in Factoid transactions over the network as well.  There are still transactions happening though, and we are able to move factoids as expected.  It is unclear what is happening on the exchange.

chain may be forking - something is wrong in the chain not Poloniex issue i have checked with all exchanges
