i also have a gt620m geforce. where can i find the appropriate miner for this cuda GPU?

There is no GPU miner. He was talking about mining other coins with his GPU through cloudsteak and taking payment in FNX.

I've been reading over the new code more carefully and I am really excited about the new PoW and PoS. The Intellistake function, combined with the variable, nModularActivator, may be one of the most innovative money supply control mechanisms on crypto. From looking at the code it looks like there may be times when there is inflation (like every other coin), but if the PoS and/or PoW encounter certain money supply redlines combined with different redlines based on the block height - both of them interacting together to create a deflationary correction to the money supply. I absolutely cannot wait to watch this. And, I haven't looked to much further in the code, so I have no idea how MN's will integrate with this system. I also know that Masternodes are ready and working on the DarkSilk side (along with instantx and darksend, or whatever they call it now), so those features might be included in the new Fantom release as well.

Well then I was looking for the Velvet algorithm in the newer code and it was nowhere to be found. But then I found something very awesome - MagiQuantumWave difficulty adjustment. Then as I read further I found a who's who of CPU algorithms for a CPU-based MultiPoW. This should be very interesting. Very!

I really cannot wait to hear from DuckYeah! and what the final strategy will be. Sometime this week perhaps?

Dev has gone, this coin is doomed to die soon.shit!

His main thing was to merge the DarkSilk work into this wallet and now he cant, so I dont think anything is going to come of this anymore. Move on.

Why do we need just one dev? The source code is all posted on git.

LoL, not really. In essence the source code is that of DarkSilk and the dev's wallet updates are copy an pasting the DarkSilk updates. DarkSilk has now protected their source code which means effectively that the Fantom source code is not available. The Fantom source code is available as a previous version of DarkSilk.

The Fantom dev will have to wait until DarkSilk is released and the source opened up again before he can merge any changes into Fantom.

Before this gets dumped down any further I should say that if you do a little digging on github you can find the staging ground for Fantom... It's looking pretty good too, I have to say. We are about to see some more interesting Fantom innovation soon, I predict.

I got an email from Steakcloud today stating that they are reviewing Fantom for addition to their website.

Go on yourself and request Fantom! https://steakcloud.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Done.  Wink

I suggest to everyone to do this.
SteakCloud is great pool service, and can really
help Fantom to rise.

I make some calculations, and can get between
1500 - 2000 FNX for just a few hour mining with
my old GPU.

That's really awesome. Steakcloud is a pretty great concept so hopefully they like what they see during the "review period." If DuckYeah! can manage to work out the kinks in the next release on or near his timeline, that would be a great indicator I bet.

And another great indicator would be what kind of changes are present in this upcoming release. There have been a lot of ideas tossed around, but it seems like there was a consensus. It's up to Mr. DuckYeah! now.

how can i solo mine with four cores from wallet?

"setgenerate true -1" like Bitdonator said. Don't underestimate your CPU! I have two core2 duo laptops from 2008 that can each mine between 80-150 FNX per day. Your 4 core should do just fine I think.   Wink

Hi!
I have 2 Win cpu mining questions.

1 - I can mine only with an i7 cpu. The core 2 duo or celeron G1820 doesn't work and crashes both miners(32 or 64 bit). It looks like crashing while submitting solution...
Any hints?

2 - I cannot set a mining proxy due to the miner built-in address. Is there any way to bypass the miner built-in host address?

I am looking into this too - will let you all know - I hate being ripped off by pools

All you need to do is solo mine through the wallet and you'll hit the same, if not more, blocks than with a pool. It's the same probability except when you solomine, you don't have your pool taking a fee and your hash isn't pinched off the top. Plus, solomining makes for a healthier network.

Solo is the way to go. This is how I mine too.

If you have multiple computers and don't want to deal with separate wallets then just use the same wallet.dat on all your PCs.

Looked at the miner / pool setup for last 24 hours

1. No source code for the miner - not good so I ran from VPS so as not to risk my machines
2. Got much less pool mining than solo mining - not good
3. Noticed periods where I wasn't being credited with coins even though I was mining and submitting valid shares - very bad

Back to solo mining for me - I recommend you steer clear of the pool until the source code is released at the very least.

Hi
Totaly new to the crypto currency ting. Been mining Bytecent for about one month, but thought I'd try somthing new with PoS. Been mining Fantom with a A8-5600K @4.0GHz under Ubuntu, and are gaining about 200 FNX a day. Tryed to open my wallet for PoS about 24 hours ago, but it does not seem that i get any coins dooing that, stuck on; "about one hour til stake", for about 23 hours (should get som intreset or somthing, maybe i have missunderstood the PoS setup). Do I need to configure some .conf file for the PoS to run properly?
I also have a good feeling about this coin and I'm not gooing to sell out as son as posible. I'm in it for a long period
Hi, you will need to leave your wallet open for staking.
The coins you have mined, start to stake after a set time of maturing, how fast they stake is depending on network pos difficulty.
Each block(input) in your wallet act as a miner, if the miner has to litle power(small block size) it will take very long to stake.
The block reward is now 5FNx, so i asume you got lots of blocks with that size.
The longer you keep your wallet open, the bigger chance to get a stake.
Once a block stakes, the cycle starts over.
Happy mining, and happy staking!

IW
But can you mine and stake at the same time? and if i transfer FNX i made on my Gamer, does that allso help staking "power" or is it yust the currency I have created on the local wallet that will stake?
Yes, you can mine and stake at same time. Where you mined it is irelevant, but if you transfer coins you lose their coin age and the cycle starts over in new wallet.
To increase the "power" combine your blocks to bigger inputs in coin controll. The bigger they are, the faster they stake in theory, what strategy is best is up for discussion tho Smiley

Happy mining/staking!
