Just in case any of you here expect a refund from Altilly. If you don't have all their deposit confirmation emails, they give you nothing. That's a scam.

Halcyon v1.1.1.0 has been released.

It's a mandatory update for pools and exchanges addressing a critical vulnerability. There was a bug in block verification code that originated from PPC. It affected only hybrid PoW/PoS coins. It could never make itself to the block chain under normal circumstances. Someone could generate a PoW block with a valid coin base, a valid regular tx, and a rogue coin stake or even a few. The block verification code did not check for such injected coin stakes. What was even worse, it didn't check output values at all. A tx with a million coins output basically out of thin air was perfectly acceptable, though it would be never accepted to a mempool. The attacker had to compose a PoW block, mine it and broadcast to the network.

Windows and Mac binaries coming.

Altilly allegedly hacked. Rip another exchange.

They may come back. We'll see in a week or so.

That's a good news. FreiExchange is the place to trade those old school coins. HAL/BTC was the primary trading pair in times of Bittrex, Cryptsy and Cryptopia.

Good news, you can now trade HAL vs BTC at FreiExchange:

https://freiexchange.com/market/HAL/BTC

Just give it some time because at the moment I write this the HAL wallet at FreiExchange is syncing.

Is it like a way to borrow coins for short and long positions?

Not really, it is more like staking directly on the exchange, but user-sponsored and custom terms.

Hi! I hope everyone's doing good! The exchange Altilly added something called Investbox today, it let users create custom investment fund. I've created a 7% APY fund of 1000HAL up for grab until dec. 31st. Cool little feature!

Is this coin still tradeable places? besides the novaexchange? I would like to get some to trade if there's somewhere I can get them?

On Altilly you can trade vs ETH and XQR.

Any news?
I just heard about Halcyon for the first time and would be interested - Does the group still exist? Serious Exchanger pages?

What group do you mean?

By group I meant rather HALCYON - whether the guys are still active, whether they are planning something as it goes on - Would like to invest and hope that the "more successful" will be listed and listed as well as at Coinmarketcap.
Whether there are serious sites where you can buy the coin.

Solo mining is really easy to set-up for this coin and it's a way to easily invest in, learn and start to stake in a few day. I did a very amateurish guide on youtube a year ago on how to set-up your pc for solo mining Halcyon. I'm mining with 1 gpu and I get lots of blocks theses days. 26 nodes connected right now, very well alive. I guess the community doesn't have much to say since this coin is working like a breeze, and to get Halcyon known, or on exchanges, is a bit each our responsibility. About Coinmarketcap, this coin was for a long time on it, and CMC cheaply removed Halcyon as soon as they realised it was getting delisted from Cryptopia. I guess they had to make space to bloat us with new & fresh projects with pumped up volume. From what I'm seeing newly listed there theses days, It is NOT a badge of honor to be listed on CMC, imho. Other marketcap websites have Halcyon in their data.

It's kinda weird why HAL/ETH and not HAL/BTC, but better than nothing anyway.
