So many things happened with HaoBTC/Bixin since the last post was written here.

Yeah, I just checked out the website for first time in quite a while (I moved my coins out of their wallet when the interest payouts dried up) and now their focus seems to be on pushing their mobile app.

Eric left the Bixin team, that's why no more support here

They don't have anyone at all here?

There is another person, but I rarely see him.

Yeah, I have the feeling their wallet isn't their main concern anymore. They said almost a year ago they were hiring someone to edit the English text on their site as well and never did it. It's all just fallen to the wayside.

The site is largely in English..just a few popups that still come up in chinese

Being in English and being in correct English are two vastly different things. If you want to cater to English speakers, you should hire someone that can properly write in the language. I even offered to do it for them and was rejected (there was a claim about an Australian that was supposed to do it, but that apparently never came to be).

It's really not that bad if you put even a tiny bit of effort in

They've rebranded under the name Bixin (www.bixin.com)

They're a wallet / mining company now - supposedly their wallet app is supposed to be quite good

I'm not sure if this is still their most recent thread though...

Question: Does anyone know if they're still providing interest on wallet balances?

Yes, they still pay out interest at the beginning of each month, although the % has decreased steadily. It's not much, but I like to think of it as a small sum to offset the transaction costs when I spend my coins.
Only reason I joined haoBTC/Bixin is because of the interest - that and the very good forum thread on Eric's 6 month stay at the mine.

If interest is removed altogether then I'd probably move my wallet balance back out to the external bitcoin client. But I've been with haoBTC/Bixin for more than a year now, so far, so good!

Ah, ok, was wondering why I wasn't seeing any interest accumulate.

You should see it in your historical transactions each day. And it also shows the total earned per month (or used to) so that you know what you'll be receiving. Haven't used them in a while because the low interest makes it too high risk for me, but I will say that I had zero issues when I did use them.

Hmmm...definitely not seeing it in my transactions

Nowadays the interest is only visible at the end of the month and only calculated for the coins that have been in the account for at least 30 days.

Hello. What bitcoin scaling path HaoBTC is going to support, any ideas?  Roll Eyes

All of them except gambling and exchange heh. They offer mining, hash exchange, investment, everything lol

What do gambling, exchanges, and investments have to do with choosing between BTU and BTC?

My assumption is they are going to stay with BTC, as are most other large miners.

Choosing between BTC and BTU isn't a "scaling" path. BTC has already scaled compared to BTU - choosing between them would be a "business model" not a "scaling path." I assumed you were referring to an actual path to scale
