So i was testing out the CPU wallet mining on my old 2012 Macbook Pro laptop (Intel i5 2.5Ghz 2 core)

2 cores - roughly 50 h/s - eventually it heats up alot and becomes slow doing anything else.

1 core - roughly 40 h/s - but you can still lightly use your laptop without loading it down (web browser, etc)

this is probably due to the Cache being only 3Mb - for those of you who don't know, you divide your cache by 2 to determine the number of cores/threads to use (i think i got that right Roll Eyes)

- 2 cores got me 5 ITNS per 24-36hr period
- 1 cores got me 5 ITNS per 24-36hr

so if anyone is still using an old laptop like mine, lower your cores to 1 if you want to be able to google stuff or listen to music while CPU mining.

i know 5 ITNS/24hrs might seem ridiculous to some of you ITNS miners, but i just thought id share anyways

question is not only about outcome you've got ) , have you calculated electricity cost for that experiment?

i don't have a reading regarding wattage from my laptop - but the charger is 85W, my area is roughly 13.5c per kWh, so about $0.28 per day - if we assume peak power is 60W then that brings it down to $0.20 per day

- right now it doesnt feel like it is at max wattage, and i read somewhere that on average mac book pros of my year use about 12-18w with light basic use and about 30W when computing - if we assume 30W then it is $0.10 per day.

Regardless, not really worth it unless you mine for the future, and even then...

In the end you know something about the new big exchange? the truth is that intense this price is stagnant because stock.exchange is too small for the potential of this currency, I hope we will soon have new news.
I have no idea. Juste read in the Kucoin channel in discord and someone of the dev team talked about it. I agree, stocks exchange is too small and lots of technical problems discourage people to get into it

Because this the devs are working to "fix" all bugs they knows. Some of they are already fine but another demand time.

I like the name "Intense Coin", it a strong name, and the news frequency keep the community "intense".

I like HitBTC, it exchange with a friendly interface, but the things will be better after some time with the VPN system.. maybe i can accept ITNS to do works like configure computers soon Cheesy but only before the coin price be more stable.

Well, give time to time.

Yea its not the best name, as the project matures I have a feeling there will be a vote on a new name.
It is unlikely that this will happen. But the ideas just to call it "VPN coin" or "coin secret".

An other name for the coin may also get the price rising. 'IntenseCoin' is a bit childish.

Very sad to know that at the current pace the moeada will never grow!   Undecided Undecided
I think this is the beginning and there is still a chance to rise again because time is long
don't be pessimistic, i believe the developer and the project team will fix it

Let's hope everything goes well  Huh Undecided

You can have an idea of how the team is growing by reading the updates.
Looking at the releases, you only see a small part of the picture. Better spend time for good planning than rushing to release something, just because you wanna put out some code.
Besides, the monero re-base not only enables a much better approach for VPN integration, but also provides a range of improvements to the coin itself.

What should I do?
1. Make archive of Intense folder, Save it to a USB flash drive
2. Make a copy of the folder and try to restore the password...

Already tried many times. Can not restore 1.4.2 wallet file with 1.4.1 software.

1.4.2 daemon is not workinghttps://user-images.githubusercontent.com/35691798/35228628-1af2359e-ffcc-11e7-9ef6-43b25e07dcbc.png  and I cannot touch my coins.

First, do not worry as your coins will not go anywhere as long as you do not delete the .wallet file. If they were transferred, they were exchanged on the immutable blockchain and will forever be in your 'new' wallet until you move them again.

To resolve the sync issue, since you said on reddit that cleaning the blockchain folder and restarting did not resolve your issue, I would encourage you to examine network factors. Something must be blocking outgoing or ingoing connections - anti-virus, firewall (Windows or otherwise), because in your screenshot it looks like there is absolutely no connectivity to the network.

I'll also export my blockchain now and upload  it to GitHub for you, which can be opened with the intense-blockchain-import.exe tool.

Hi valiant1...

I have the same issue but with the pre-release 1.4.3.0 version.

It doesnt sync and my wallet shows zero balance.

Is there anything what i could do to fix the issue?

Dev is not active for almost 3 days since 3rd of February. I don't know what to say when I was asking simple questions and no one answered.

First fail of road map Q1 and Q2 still not achieved. They have made an update on 1st of February still nothing of an update. No news no nothing.
Second I asked in the begging you can see my comments, why they have pictures used from the old Bytecoin website?

The team have no transparency no nothing. To be honest this project is not a joke and can not be completed with only 4 people developing and 1 person in the community updating rarely from time to time.
From the start I thought this project was not serious seeing their announcement even tho they have written everything perfect and of course their idea is awesome.

I don't know guys something smells fishy about this, or maybe because of the massive drop there is stagnation of time even from the developers. I hope ITNS will get the price that had.
I know the whole market is falling down and of course every coin will fall in price when BTC and ETH are falling massively.

Wish you all the best to all big investors and just HODL, maybe everything will get back to normal, but I am being skeptic at this very moment what is happening, especially when the roadmap is not fulfilled as they promised.
Hope the devs will show sign of life when is the biggest fall of every coin to give everyone little hope.

they update every 2 weeks

update january 19th https://intensecoin.com/2018/01/19/intense-rebases-to-monero/

february 3rd was a saturday, maybe Devs took a couple days off? go out with the wiffey, hang with the kids, man you need to chill with your fud, just buy a little more during this dip.

next update should be coming out his week, relax man

Fud? I just said things that I was thinking about. Why you always say fud?
I was just sharing my opinion. From when, sharing your opinion is wrong?
Can't believe you people. I share some opinion and you instantly say it's a fud. I am not doing that, but let's all be honest, don't you need a little more transparency. Come on man I am in tons of projects and I know you are too and you all can see how they work with the most transparency they have.
They haven't been active on discord and now in here. Okey, I am not saying anything, maybe they are on vacation a little who knows, waiting the fall to stop, not judging them, but this project needs more updates, so we can see them.
And if you read the update on 1st of February please read carefully and tell me what they said new in it.
Still waiting the web browser plug in and what is that Asian businesses Development? Still nothing of that

I know it's hard to keep it with the roadmap but once you make a promise fulfill it. And don't think I haven't bought more ITNS from the fall and still mining it. I am not a fudder just sharing my opinion. Stop judging people, and accept a part of the truth.
