Sounds like ionomy gave up on trying to create their own games and now expect others to do it for them. Which - on the surface - isn't a bad idea and should have been done that way from the start instead of wasting a year on Gravity.
However there doesn't seem to be anything significant in the offer that would have actual benefit. Reducing the 30% Apple/Google cut is the only part that may sound appealing to developers but presenting it in such a hamfisted way is asking for trouble. With an obscure game like Gravity maybe Apple/Google didn't care enough, but if this starts to threaten their revenue they'll shut that door.
Haven't seen any announcement on fixing the leaderboard either. Promoting tournament prizes as a service without the ability to prevent cheating, what could possibly go wrong.

So there was a counter that revealed some words that had already been revealed earlier in the press release, now there is another counter that will reveal some more words... probably from the same press release.
I stand by my opinion:
ionomy claims to be transparent. has any proof ever been shown that they do indeed buy back from the market with this 33% thing?
josh garza said he had deals but wouldnt show, matlack claims transparency. how can one show they are buying back from market 33% income? this should be public as devs that choose to use it could be being lied to.
and @ that announcement... its just a 7 day advertising blitz by the looks so far. how are they advertising an api for devs that isnt available to download/use?
