A bunch of sleaze words (foundation, grow, etc) and yet you fail to address the very simple question - how? How are the 250k users going to turn into paying ionomy customers? They are pretty much the opposite of that. They're used to getting paid pennies for mundane tasks, like watching ads or completing surveys. They might even download Gravity if ionomy pays them to. Then what?
that said there's nothing wrong with faucets or trying to expand your base of 40 people
That's what I'm trying to figure out - is this going to expand it, and how, and how much, etc. But the shills - as usual - don't know shit and are busy being butthurt, while the "team" and its sycophants on slack just hype it without any details.
Somewhat predictably the announcement has been met on slack with wide eyed delirium, but (being inherently cynical), I'm inclined to wonder as you do how this will actually further the adoption for 'Crypto Gravity'. They've got plenty of downloads, apparently (I say plenty, of course in the grand scheme of things 30,000 or so downloads isn't huge, really -- but we'll ignore that for now), but they have a huge issue at the moment retaining players and getting them to actually repeatedly engage with the product. Nothing is going to change that except producing better games, in my opinion. Widening the net out to a further potential market of 250,000 users -- let's assume they all download and play it with roughly the same conversion rate as 'Crypto Gravity' has had since release -- still only gives you a couple of hundred actual regular users. I don't know, I mean maybe thats what they're aiming for here and they'll be able to sustain their business model with that sort of user base, but I highly doubt it long term.
If nothing else, I suppose it at least shows some intent in trying to further the reach of the product through other channels where their usage of marketing so far has probably been sub-par. I just don't believe the product ('Crypto Gravity') is good enough to really attract people at the moment, and I don't have any confidence that the team behind that have the skills to produce more compelling games in the future.
