Any update? Another month has passed by, 6 months of it in this thread so far.

Sampam,

At the moment, the team doesn't have any news or updates regarding USD funding for international individuals.

We are currently working on bringing a new international USD funding service to our platform, hopefully we will have this available for our clients very soon!

If you have any questions, we are happy to help!

gee, i sure hope this inability to service international USD wires and the fundraising efforts aren't both related to the money seizure from crypto capital, of whom kraken was a client.....

Hi there!

Please note, Kraken has not used the services of Crypto Capital for many years now, so we are completely unaffected by anything involving their service.

We are currently working on bringing a new international USD funding service to our platform, hopefully we will have this available for our clients very soon!

Kraken should make a twitter poll and ask the crypto community if they think you're FUDing, then delist you from the internet!!!  Angry

Any update on this USD for international personal clients? Almost 4 months have passed....

Sampam,

Unfortunately we do not have any updates at this time, however this is subject to change shortly. Once we received any news or developments regarding USD funding for international individuals, we’ll make certain to update everyone in this thread.

Is anyone going to invest in Kraken? They just announced that you can get equity with a minimum investment of $1000 :O

https://coincodex.com/article/3651/kraken-wants-to-raise-10-million-from-clients-with-minimum-investment-of-1000/

on one hand, only accredited investors are allowed (proof of tax returns or assets required). on the other hand, the minimum investment is $1000. a bit puzzling, but okay! i'd chuck $1k or $2k at it for fun if i could, but i don't meet the qualifications.

I forgot more than you will ever know.
@LeGaulois: There is an almost countless number of exchanges which have better trade engines. Maybe they had some issue is in the past, but at least they fixed the issues and one can now reliably place and cancel orders without problems, even at the highest volume peaks.

Yeah you are right, keep using the exchanges that get hacked over and over again without learning how to implement proper security.

Also Kraken didn't only improve it's trading engine but also it's HW/performance.

I don't see things getting nearly as bad as last time ever again for them. But only future will tell.

Weird, it's like if we are talking about 2 different exchanges, I have the total opposite experience with Kraken and I'm a bit old user (maybe since 2014-15). I was still here even when the site was unusable for months, I was hitting this fucking F5 button to refresh the page like a freak lol

I left Kraken last year due to their extremely bad service, but most important due to their unreliable trade engine. A buddy of mine told me that things were going better so I re-started trading on Kraken a month or 2 ago. However, the faults (even though they were a bit less often) were the same as when I left, maybe a bit less than last year, so one could argue that it was almost on an acceptable level. Nonetheless, from my perspective they did not solve an ancient problem. And from this week on we are definitely at the same level as last year.

And about the support, they give the same dronish answers as before, they might have gotten faster at replies, but the quality is even less than before. A social bot would suffice. And even worse, Kraken uses the same type of excuse for their bad service as the last time, only this time they have a fancy new website. So no, nothing has really changed at Kraken over the past year(s). ROFL. It is the same shitty trade engine and the same sort of dronish support without any relevant competence nor interest to actually solve these problems. But have fun trading there. I will just take the profits from this week, and move my funds to better and more reliable exchanges. (as also Totscha advises)

They did a major update on the trading engine last year. Personally, everything is running smoothly since. As for its support, well I contacted them 3 times last week and they replied within minutes with efficiency. And not with a generic/canned reply copy pasted like some others.

@Totscha
Kraken is here for a long time now. Ok, they got a horrible period at a time but hey, which exchange platform hasn't?

Hey, I've been with them since the start. And they still use the same horrible default trading UI they had in 2013. Not sure why they don't switch to the new one that's been available for a while and is actually usable. Every other exchange has made great UI improvements during this time.

The other thing is their performance. It was decent in 2013. Then during the 2014-2016 bear market it was periodically awful (unworkable for a few hours every few days). When the crazy 2017 bull market started, the site just died. And it was dead for several months (nov-feb), completely useless. I transfered some crypto there at the beginning of the bull market and was unable to trade at the peak. It took me 5-6 hours of tries to make a single withdrawal to Bitstamp where I was actually able to trade. We warned them that their site had performance issues at peaks for two years before that, but they just didn't want to invest in better infrastructure.

If you plan to sell during the next peak, steer clear of Kraken Wink

Those issues are probably not update related, as they have been present long before the update and are regularly happening. And these issues have been going on for years, just proving that Kraken does not take care of the important problems.
Almost every other exchange provides a better and more reliable trading engine and a more competent service team than Kraken.
Again, STAY AWAY. LOL Kraken-Chase, just another Septimus.

Nice to see you back from your year long slumber. Bullish! Smiley

The problem with Kraken is the same MtGox had. The CTO and CEO are one person. They've had Steve Hunt as CTO on paper for over a year now, but it all looks like Powell just can't let go...

A number of users have reported experiencing funding delays, as well as issues with our API today. While we have implemented a number of upgrades to the website and trading engine, our development team is continuing to investigate these issues and we hope to have them resolved soon.
