Support just mixed in my ticket with someone else, revealing all of my personal information about my corporate account. This is highly concerning. Please escalate to someone asap. Ticket number #302777.


Im not familiar with US data protection laws, but if this is true, please consider officially reporting this breach.

guys livin in states i just wanna learn if you deposit fiat lets say 1000$ how much fee Kraken takes?

Do not deposit anything until they get their fiat issues fixed. Many people are reporting they deposit and the funds are never credited to the account. And still no response from kraken.

Right now they are having massive issues with fiat transfers. So why the hell does anyone want to try and deal in fiat with them?

If you can't handle your customers, stop accepting them! No more new accounts until you get the existing ones squared away. Is it really that hard?


I don't know, I just said that's why it's popular. Anyways I don't know the source of the problem, I was able to withdraw Euros whenever I tried (last was 2 days ago), so maybe specific banks could cause this issue.

I sent another EUR payment using fidor about 2h ago, just as I often do.
After some minutes my deposit showed up as "Recent Deposits" with the status "Success" although it had not been credited so I could spend the EUR. This is just normal, it often takes some minutes from "Success" to being credited so I can use them.
Somehow this time the payment no longer shows up under "Recent Deposits" and has also not been credited. This is conerning and new to me. I created a Ticket (378632) hoping that someone could help in this matter.

I checked and this is resolved - the name did not come through in the transfer for some reason so it was held up due to that.

that's the case since ~4 days now. Medium transaction time went from 5 minutes to ~12 hours IF the support is super fast... (after ~12 hours it is "onhold", so support is needed always)
This really sucks and of course if everyone is opening a ticket for every deposit, this delays everything even more.

So it should be one of the top priorities to solve this damn issue. No support agent was able to tell me when this will be solved...
(No need to mention other critical bugs and problems of kraken, like untouched market orders for 10 minutes and bad api and website connection...)
Notice how Dargo just glosses over this fact. Seriously, how the fuck does an exchange get away with this. They send email responses informing the user that they are "investigating" the problem. Fucking liars. They have known about it for years, and choose to not fix the problem.

Do you really think I'm scared of your question? No, it's rather that the question is so vague that I don't know what you are asking and I'm focusing my time on clients I can help (as I have explained I can't help you any further without the ticket number that you refuse to give). There is no single authority that we "answer to," whatever that is supposed to mean. We adhere to a complicated variety of rules set by many different regulatory agencies, many of which are country-specific.  
You are still speculating after years? Really? I lose ~400 euros on a trading engine that you are still speculating to what the problem is?....and then ignore 3 of my 'support' tickets. Fuck you Kraken.

You are running different things together. I was just talking about the name field being empty in a particular deposit and saying I didn't get into the reason for it, not because I was trying to hide anything, but because I didn't have time to look into the cause in that particular case.

On the regulatory issue, you seem to be asking that I post our entire worldwide compliance strategy, which isn't going to happen. A huge amount of work, research, and expense went into developing this and it's essentially a company trade secret, not something we'd post publicly. I'm not sure why you are asking, but I'm guessing you think that a list of regulatory agencies would give you a list of entities to lodge a complaint with, which is mistaken. A lot of the regulation has to do with AML/KYC and the agencies that are concerned with this kind of thing would not be appropriate to contact about a support ticket not being answered to your satisfaction or any other non-AML/KYC issue.

Are you sure you are not hiding behind that line from the regulators, that says you are not allowed to share why a given account is closed/suspended/investigated? Coward much, or are you trying to be smart? Your bluff and bullshit is getting annoying now, and im getting angry enough to spend time and money, showing why Kraken is a disaster waiting to happen.

Since your utterly broken support has filtered my tickets to suit themselves, maybe i should write my own response.....

We know this, because the trading engine has been costing our customers their money, for years, and we still havnt fixed it. Actually, we gave up some time ago, and at the same time, started filtering the support tickets mentioning anything to do with engine problems. Sometimes we give out Kraken tokens in 'compensation'. Lately, we just delete the tickets. The reason for this, is that we have declared ourselves unfuckingtouchable. Thats right, YOU have no rights whatsoever regarding your experience with Kraken. Moreover, we have assured ourselves that any regulatory body, license issuer, or significant financial partner, couldnt give a flying fuck what you think. Basically your complaints are a waste of your time. Deal with it....this is crypto, remember?'

I have $83,000 stuck in limbo for 2 weeks now. I'm tier 4 and when I went to withdraw, I was told my limits were reduced from $500,000 to $50,000. So I tried to cancel the withdrawal. It has said "cancel requested" for 2 weeks now and not 1 response from support on many tickets. So my money isn't in my account and it's not being wired to me either. I even wrote a physical letter and mailed it to kraken certified and it said it was delivered to an individual.

This is really starting to scare the shit out of me. I'm a few days away from buying a plane ticket and coming to see kraken in person if this isn't resolved.

When any business turns into shit it starts to devalue their valued customers. Same thing kraken is doing to you.

Like I said I got verified to Tier3 in 1 week so I guess some verifications are easier than others.

I immediately sent more money to Kraken so my bank called me to check I was really behind the transfers, they said Kraken was marked as "fraudulent". Poor wording on their part, they meant people have lost their money because someone hacked their bank account and sent it to Kraken. I explained to the guy that that shouldn't happen anymore as Kraken only accepts transfers with the same name on the bank account and the Kraken account. So unless you are a Kraken user and both your bank account and Kraken account (and email, and phone if 2FA) are hacked, it should be fine.

This situation happened in my country as well. Several banks were marking Kraken as fraudulent and they were refusing any bank transfers to Kraken account. The only way was to writte a letter to your bank to say you perfectly understand the warning and you take the full responsability to send funds to a "fraudulent" company. It was funny because it's your money but the banks tell you "no it's a fraud" Well who own the money, you the banker or me? It's my money I don't need directives....
At this time I don't remember how Kraken managed this but I think they opened others accounts?

@Dargo - I have a recently created account through Kraken (appx. 10 days old) and was verified for Tier 1 7 days later. I'm having troubles with my Coinbase account and am ready to just jump ship. How long should I expect to wait to get verified for tier 2? Is there anything I can do in the mean time to expedite my request? Thank you so much for reading and take care!

I have been waiting for the Verification Tier 2 for over 3 weeks now!!
I have written in these 3 weeks now 3 times to the support and did not get a single answer! Since 3 weeks!!!
That can not be true! What is this for a customer support if you can not use kraken for over three weeks and did not get an answer?
