I dont know. I have looked at it and I think that if you have a small amount of coins then maybe you dont get the full staking of 5%.
I have seen that in another coin. I also had staking in 5 hours and then I had to reboot my computer and for 2 days it said staking 1 day.
Its proportional usually based yearly so 100 coins should get you 5 over the year it'll be more due to minting the interest Bear in mind low amounts may never get enough weight to stake
Just to have a better idea of what we are talking about: what is "low amount" in number of coins : 10 or 100 or 1000 ?
You have to test because it depends on the network. Nobody can tell.
