There's an offer of 828 shares at 0.835...
That would be 16% of the float if it was part of the 5000 IPO.
Which seems very unlikely.

So are insiders selling at these prices... and increasing the float?

It probably was from "davidpate" (see in the rich list).

OK, thanks = it's really just an $80,000 position...
Tiny by NYSE standards.

I don't think he's actually getting out...
More like trying to cap the price to create a trading range...
Which is good for every scalper out there.

He must be doing > 10% of total volume...
Generally, it's trivial to do 3-4% of the volume of an illiquid stock...
I'm doing close to 2% and not even trying (yet).

The exchange has been running on hosted servers located in Texas, USA.  Theoretically, if the US govment found out about this site and felt it was worth their time, they could have potentially pulled the plug.

However, a.) that's highly unlikely, b.) they would have to coordinate that with the hosting company, c.) RS has data back-ups so he could fairly easily have the site up and running with another host, in a reasonable amount of time and, e.)

Last I heard, he's picked up some beefed up servers to run the site, probably out of his own basement.  Knowing that RealSolid is quite fond of proxying all communication with his projects, I imagine the best the Fed (or any government could do) is shut down a proxy.  This is fairly easy to update and replace.

Good to know... not that I want to be a nay-sayer.
Burnside didn't accept fiat either -- but the sites still shut down.
To regulations?  Who knows for sure.

It's nice to know there is some though behind the process and the 'what if' scenario has been considered.
Thank you!

Guys I am now in love with this exchange <3, the interest idea, the shaes idea, the system itself!

So does anyone here knows where to find a proper working documentation of the api? I tried the example they gave and it gave me a response like the site is under maintenance :S. Also it got me a little confused I was looking for how to cancel an order I made but it is no place to be found.

BTC only give you BTC interest
LTC only give you LTC interest
Etc..

mcxFEE give you dividend on all coins traded on the exchange.

Where can you see how much btc you made from mcxFEE share?

You actually get a better return on BTC deposits (about 7-8% annualized)...
Right now the mcxFEE shares are for experienced traders.

The US Government has very limited resources (FINCEN = 300 people)...
It's really the SEC and CFTC that would have jurisdiction over "commodity" exchanges...
But they have more serious business than tiny crypto-exchanges.

BUT IF a multi-million $$$ FRAUD was committed it becomes criminal...
And 99% chance Principals are extradited to face trial in Texas...
And you DEFINITELY do not want to go on trial in Texas.

It would probably take 48 hours...
For a US Prosecutor to have a complete RS file on his desk...
So much for being "anonymous" on the internet in 2013.

And, AIUI, RS is an Aussie and the Australian government these days is more concerned with destroying the Great Barrier Reef and propping up the mining corporations belonging to Tony Abbott's mates than faffing about with some obscure website that doesn't even handle what the sheeple call "real money".

With the shutting down of BTCTC... I pulled out of cryptostocks because... well, I am afraid the same may happen to their site too.

What makes this site any different... to where I don't have to worry about stupid regulations forcing the site down?

There is no FIAT on mcxNOW, and never will be.

Ok thank you for the answer.
Still, I think that the returns are low, but maybe it is only because the website is new

1 share gives only a few satoshi per day.
Is the current price overpriced?

What will happen when the number of shares will be multiplied?

A share will always be worth 0.001%.
The 45k release will change nothing. They are already existing in the RealSolid account.

So the next release will not change their intrinsic value. But it will diminish the scarcity and make the market harder to manipulate.

Here a post from RealSolid explaining the future of the mcxFEE.

http://mcxpump.com/2013/09/29/mcxfee-latest-info/
If its going to work dumping all 45k at once, its going to piss off existing holders who can't afford to buy anymore MXC, they will have to sell now whilst the price is up, and buy back later when it's a lot cheaper after the 45k release. No shareholder wins when you suddenly dump 900% more shares onto the market, except the one that is selling the 45k worth of shares.

Of course all the smart people will sell 90% of their mcxFEE now whilst the price is high, and use their 9x option to buy them back discounted when the 45k are released and make a tidy profit with no additional outlay. That profit will be worth more that the dividends in the foreseeable future.

Any possibility there could be an annual audit of the accounting via access to the servers
by one or more trusted members of the community?
If you are in this business long term think of how far this act of goodwill could go?
More people would trust you.
You would be promoting
new standards and accountability
for the BTC economy.
Please seriously consider this?
With MtGox not being transparent about their withdraw issues,
their majority share of the market is potentially vulnerable.
You've already set yourself apart from the other exchanges with
mcxFEEs and interest on deposits.
Transparency would be another highly attractive feature distinguishing you from the competition.

Transparency is irrelevant  and possibly counterproductive, when you are going out of your way to keep people's identity hidden from prying eyes, eg no email policy.
