The blocks seem to have "loosened" up a bit Wink. I let the PC run 24/7, and there are now 4924 blocks remaining.

I have downloaded full blockchain (link is couple pages back) and it fully synced up within couple hours.

Minting work quite well since my wallet is in sync. It is generating quite a profit even at today prices. Can't wait for new wallet release!

Thanks!

It's using 1 134 MB. Should I let it run or bootstrap it?

You can use whichever method you prefer.  Both will get you to the same end goal.  I wish you a speedy sync.   Smiley

Sounds like your downloading blocks?
Yes, I'm downloading the blockchain(?). Sorry, but not sure if I understand the question.

There are 11 connections, and I've been trying for weeks to get up to speed. Does it make sense that at one point there were 197701 blocks remaining and then when the process halts and I restart the wallet, it starts at 828822?

The bootstrap crashed the wallet.

If your seeing connections and your seeing numbers change then your wallet is likely trying to update.  The bootstrap can appear to crash the wallet but that is not usually the case.  While it can hog up system resources to make it appear that your wallet has crashed, it's probably still updating.  We're working to improve this process as we completely agree that it could run more smoothly.

There are additional ways to confirm if the wallet is updating when you think it may be frozen, but it sounds like your wallet may already be trying to update and you should just let it run rather then restarting or interrupting the process otherwise.

I can't get the wallet synchronized. Every time I open it the blocks remaining change:

625840
841766
197701
828822
826116

Sounds like your downloading blocks?  Do you see connections in the Debug window?  This process could take a few days.  You can consider speeding it up a bit with the bootstrap.  I'd suggest going outside or focusing on something else while your wallet gets up to speed.

Still having issues?  You can get more real time support in our Slack channel.  Smiley

That is how my all minted coins look like (It also looks like it is minting crazy amounts - I only have 1m mint tokens in the wallet)

Like I said, it also happens to me and I open my wallet twice a month. Be patient, your minted blocks will eventually be accepted.

Working now, some of them are accepted already. Thanks

My wallet is minting, I am getting transactions but all are "generated but not accepted" is that normal?

Is your system's time properly synced?

That also happens to to me regularly. Just check your time sync and be patient.

My system time is properly synced. I have not used my wallet for about 3 years. It is fully synced for last couple days, unlocked but all minted tokens are showing as generated but not accepted (even couple from 2014)

this is the message on all of them:

Generated coins must mature 50 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

I believe the developer or one of the developers of mintcoin is/was one of the guys with PIVX. With PIVX finished with the implementation of the zercoin protocol, i believe its time mintcoin developers comes back and work on the development of mintcoin.
is it true?

yes, I've been hired as a part of the PIVX development team. My time with MINT has not come to an end, however it is still (as it has always been) a voluntary contribution if and when I have free time. That being said, work does continue on MINT, albeit slowly as free time is almost non-existent right now.

If someone need a synchronized wallet

Mintcoin data folder + cmd-file for portable run

Unpack and put the contents of the data folder in the appdata, or just run the bat file by first putting in the data folder the your wallet.dat
Anybody tried this one?

EDIT: Actually confirming it works, thanks for that mate.
