Price and volume seem to be creeping up for this coin, any news?

It seems to be a good coin. Research the dev and the Blake group of coins. All high quality fair coins with no hype and real fans. All of them seem to be good coins.

Fairglu makes great explorers. If you look through all the tabs there is a lot of info. This coin is somehow related to blakecoin, which has a long time reliable dev, a very strong group of supporters etc and has a network of coins, some not on exchanges. They used to have a website blaketrader that automatically exchanged coins in this group. The original dev of this coin has very high standards and you can search around and find some philosophical type posts of that person. This group of coins made by blakecoin supporters is like getting a lou gherig baseball card, you cannot really lose.

Explorer is synching at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pho/

Once it is finished more info about the coin should be available, whether bad or good.

Virustotal lists 23 / 60 mostly 'ircbot' and 'bitcoinminer potentiallyunsafe'. https://virustotal.com/en/file/afa658ed4458bb98157caba15f396a055ad900c5dd0341fbb4e316a17eab71fc/analysis/1495815242/

Probably not a problem but not entirely sure.

Eq1970, here is a better answer.

Coin prices are all relative, so here are three similar coins to compare. Numbers are off for all of them probably because no working explorers, so just educated guesses.

Bunnycoin
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bunnycoin/
101 billion coins

Kittehcoin
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kittehcoin/
23 billion coins

Photon
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/photon/
9 billion coins

Compare the coins and decide which looks relatively more or less valuable. Each can be bought in the 0.00000003 ltc range more or less, bouncing around higher and lower. I own a little of each of them, the most you can lose on any of them is 100% of what you invest. You have to research it and decide if the value is there.

realized those coin counts are probably old and very low. I'll see about an explorer.
3min block time so 175,000 blocks a year x min block reward of 32,768 = at least ~5.6 b coins per year

Fasten your seatbelts.
Why? Doesn't seem to much movement in the price. Rumors?

If you look back at ltc markets following the dec 13 runup, high quality coins limited to litecoin trading do well once big alts start to recover. Photon is as high a quality spinoff as you can find, imho, even though it is semi abandoned. Wait and see. Litecoin still has a ways to go before it settles and any positive news on a coin like this will have a big effect probably.

Offer escrow, receive negative trust
Trying to build this on Win 7 - fixed a few errors, all was going well until:

Code:
Makefile.Release:66603: recipe for target 'build/splashscreen.o' failed
mingw32-make: *** [build/splashscreen.o] Error 1

Any clue as to what's causing this?

any chance on making a merged pool? Why mine PHO there when I can get most blakecoins mined at same time on merged pool?

It's about time -- All merrit accepted !!!
Hello all,

Reminder -- Photon is available for trading at Blake Trader or Cryptopia

With Photon and other members of the Blake Coin family at least you have a project that will not fork for 'private interests' like I hear other popular alt coins are planning !!

Just wanted to say that I feel bad for anyone who got burned for Ether with the 'dao' business however this is the cost of investing in something that is untested or experimental. If just one percent of the funds that was invested in the dao was invested in the blake coin family i can only imagine what our team could have done with the funds..... anyway we have never asked for 'investors' ....

Things are going to get interesting I suspect .....

Thanks to all for continued support of the proud AND STABLE !!  family members of Blake Coin
