@Dzarmush.

What do you think about starting a thread to remind people to vote/update wallet before 25 June and generally boast about the fact Qora has the first functioning proper user defined voting system in crypto, even before NXT! Its actually big news and also the 25th June update will get lost on this thread as many users don't look in here I expect.

A nice OP with Logo etc?

See no reasons for not doing it. As more threads as better )

Just to make clear I was suggesting you do it.  Cheesy

I can easily start one myself but I wont do a visually good job plus your name has more credibility than mine as my name is shit on this forum since I attacked a couple of scams.

+1. Dzarmush should start the new thread. I think it will good exposure to this coin because of the new hot voting system.

To be fair to the troll it is a bit underwhelming on here.

I am confused daily why the vol on Polinex is like 5-10 BTC while coins like Monero have like 400BTC vol?

In case of Monero, external resources are poured in a form of mining.
And this acts as a downward pressure in price. That can explain a greater volume on exchanges.
On the other hand, Qora has no external resource to be poured, and the only way to get Qora is to directly buy it on the exchange.
This makes Qora so easy to be high in price, without the need to struggle against dumping by a lot of miners!
I think this is a major advantage of 100% proof-of-stake coins.

Possibly. So many people quoted my comment like it was some attack on Qora. I was just saying vol is so low for such a great coin. Price had nothing to do with it, just wondered why people were't rushing to buy yet.

Can we stop the idea the distribution is bad myth?  http://coinia.net/qora/blockexplorer.php?top=100

That is better distribution than NXT or even Bitcoin.

one of the big holders is probably an exchange too. Maybe the distribution is too good, maybe we need a whale to sell Qora. The price is very stable now, never goes below 50 sats.

One point Qora misses is a solid white paper of its security model I think.
Without it, we cannot discuss about possible attacks and defenses.
If Bitcoin did not have the white paper, maybe I was not here on bitcointalk and didn't pay atttention or become interested in it.

Yes, miner is asshole Grin

Dumping by miners or dumping by original stakeholders. Which is better? Hmmm... let me think about it Smiley

Until Qora makes a one click, im not touching it. I remember people lost coins in NXT on false wallets and false downloads.

I can build a One-Click-Installer for the new version again, but of course there is still the trust issue. Is anyone using my Installer for Qora?
If not it's pointless to invest time in creating another one.

I wouldn't recommend anybody using someone's installer. The thing is a person can do 1 or 2 or even 5 safe installers just to gain some trust and then steal tens or even hundreds of millions coins.

Version 9 is now available.

https://mega.co.nz/#!jtIWnYSZ!2LfxcdK2aWaV9rTNH_0H2XwZ_DjwnTLBGz1QP0WLrhE
Please download the application from this post and not from a quote.

MD5: d94f783b73c80a4d24283a7eb4c64ca4
SHA-1: 009756aa1c531c0cfdcd074d55c85109df7dfc46

This version contains the voting system which will be activated on 25 June 5PM GMT.
A new ping network message has been added which will be used in the future to detect closed connections faster.
Also contains some small fixes to the database and network that you probably won't even notice.
This version does not contains the API for the voting system. This will be added in an update before the release.

Not upgrading to this version before 25 June 5PM GMT will make your client fork.

Amazing.
Takes only 5 minutes to sync.

I am planning to invest in Qora. Please update us on the website and promotions. I think it is a solid project with a great dev but what it is lacking at the moment is promotion.

eli_lyd1,

Have you heard from BTER?

Do they have plans to adopt Qora?  I think Qora client is stable enough (V9 release). We should get on more well-known exchanges like BTER.

I don't know what's up with Poloniex.  They kept having Qora wallet problem, and it has got nothing to do with FORK as far as I could tell.

I think it's time to get on bigger exchanges like Bittrex, CoinNext, BTER, or Cryptsy.

Dont worry, BTER will add qora.
But I think it's not the right time to list on bter.

Additional to my previous post.

You ve thougt its a automatical process without doing something, but this is a wrong tought!, you have to invole the community but only what u did is looking for a overpraise price. That dont work!!,  involve more people and gave them a chance to be a part of qora or qora will be history faster as you would like to think to belive.

it's incredible how you this great project moves to the wall, and only because of your greed! unbelieveble. But time will tell and maybe you will be richer with experience.

Qora dev is doing most important development by himself.

As for involving people, here's quote from the bounty list: "We are open to any suggestions. If you have something in mind and you can work on it, just name the price.
Bounties are not final. If you're ready to do something, but want more coins, then again, just name your price."
