I took your "maths" and applied it to btc-e btc/USD.

I got a "average" of $399. That is pretty bearish. I have liquidated all my btc as it is only worth $399, it is $150 more right now. I'm going to make a killing with this new fancy calculations.....

  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

It will not necessarily go as low as that, but when market sentiment is bullish the average price is close to the current price or even above it and usually after that the price starts rising. That's what I noticed anyway from observing order books, take it with a grain of salt.

<- This guy here: makes a killing trading...lol.

Orderbook, seriously???

Price action is what matters, you calculate pivot, support and resistance out of open, high, low and close prices at any given timeframe.
Go learn some trading before spreading fud, thank you.

@qora: amazing, glad to see progress.  Cool

Hehe you're hilarious, Don't mock people when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

There is no open and close price when trading cryptocurrencies. The market is always open. It's not the friggin nasdaq monkey boy.

I know it doesn't 'close' per se, still, candlestick charts exist and those have ohlc DUH...you can apply the same technical analysis tools and indicators to crypto.

As for the orderbook, looking at the orderbook is noobish at best, it can be manipulated by people placing and removing bids and asks, which makes it useless.

This version contains the voting system which will be activated on 25 June 5PM GMT.
A new ping network message has been added which will be used in the future to detect closed connections faster.
Also contains some small fixes to the database and network that you probably won't even notice.
This version does not contains the API for the voting system. This will be added in an update before the release.

Not upgrading to this version before 25 June 5PM GMT will make your client fork.

And because PoW crowd don't believe in PoS, Qora and NXT must stick together and until Qora has its own Asset Exchange, more trading of Qora should be done on NXT AE. When Qora has its own Asset Exchange, someone will set up a NXT asset on Qora exchange. Qora and NXT are in this together, PoW crowd is hard to convince to buy into PoS coins.

I am confused daily why the vol on Polinex is like 5-10 BTC while coins like Monero have like 400BTC vol?

Because the PoW crowd is buying Monero with rpietila leading their pack, they are early bitcoin adopters with a lot of bitcoins. Qora is PoS, the PoW crowd don't think PoS is secure.

To be fair to the troll it is a bit underwhelming on here.

There is no good exchange, no website,

Heavycoin vote system was much worse than qora. The vote counted as valid only when you found a block. So qora is the first and only crypto with an effective and real voting system

Talk coin. They vote on block rewared every XXXX blocks.

I remember the Heavy coin wallet had a function to vote on the number of coins

Yup, and the miners downloaded from pools came with a preinstalled vote that nobody cared to change. Was a good experiment but didn't really achieve anything. Particularly since there is no 'real' crypto-economic theory on the dynamics of coin supply vs. price.

Qora voting will be totally different. But it will be an experiment itself as well. So hopefully it will be a robust system that can't be gamed for short term profits. But I trust qora on that one Smiley

I just had a quick look at what they did. It seems like it was only the ONE vote as part of the wallet set up.

it would be good to establish if this really is the first proper implementation of a voting 'system' cause we should make some noise about it with a nice thread from Dzarmsh and open invite to vote on this historic event.

Well I'm excited about it anyway.  Smiley

Am I right in thinking we will be the first to actually implement voting in Crypto?

NXT hasn't done it yet it seems?

https://nxtforum.org/voting-system/implementation-plan/

Maybe we need to add it to the OP as a function as it wasn't listed in the original plan.

Could be a nice selling point to mark the coins progress.

heh, from the NXT experience, voting achieves nothing but quarrels, haha. It may be a nice sounding feature, but it may sow a quarrel with your brothers Smiley You guys should implement it, it surely would drive the price of Qora higher, would be nice to see if the Voting system is really efficient in working, because no coin has implemented it yet, interesting to see how the voting works in practise. The main question is: if any decision is voted in, is the developer obliged to fulfill it even if the decision goes against what he personally would like to implement? Who would oblige him to implement it then? It'll be fun to watch how it all plays out.

Hmmm interesting, ok, bye.
