If you want to attack Qora, please read the history posts first, and learn some basic knowledge.
Or you just want to show how stupid you are?

Actually I was interested to buy some Qora and ask legitimate questions, at least I think there is nothing wrong with asking about the initial distribution. But it looks like these legitimate questions are met with hostile attitude for an unknown reason. I haven't found anything about initial distribution in the first post, am I supposed to read all the 300+ pages? This kind of answer is not a way to attract new investors, someone (gorillajam?) complained that there is no demand for Qora. Now you see why there is no demand, because for some reason you think new potential users are Qora's enemies. Do you just want to keep all qoras to yourselves and don't like newbies? Smiley

EDIT: never mind, I found the Distribution link, is it 137 people, correct?

I have no idea how Qora was distributed and to how many, I wasn't reading this thread at the time of distribution and I only read the last posts now. Is that a secret that you cannot answer? It's fine with me.

wow, Qora has its own 51% attack now? I totally missed it, but how was Qora initially distributed that someone ended up with over 50% now?
51% attack happend because we trusted an exchange with our coins, nothing wrong with how qora was distributed..

But i still think poloniex has no intention to keep our coins that was seized from sharexcoin account, and I ask them to give it back to their rightful owners.. i know its not an easy thing to do this but we need to know wts going to happen to our coins??  Huh

Would it possibly been Sharexcoin forging the deposits there that caused the fork?

Don't think I saw anyone mention this possibility. Sharexcoin really did kick Qora in the nuts.

all I know I lost 700125 qora on that day.. I still dont understand what happened to me and I really want someone to explain how my second transaction went smooth and registered in the right blockchain even though it was only 3 mins gab between the two transactions. On 31/may sharexcoin were sending coins to the false blockchain. On the other hand, polonex were sending coins to right blockchain at the same time. FYI, my qora client was following "sharexcoin" blockchain on that day.  PLEASE EXPLAIN  Cry

Sorry if you are but you seem equally insincere.

How can you prove that coins are yours when they passed though an exchange? All you can prove is you sent some coins to a wallet and even if you show it was Sharexcoin wallet you can't know. The community decision is to use the coins from polinex for bounties as far as I know.

Going on your post history it's clear you are a seasoned poster on Qora particularly in trying to push the price down.

So your claimed ignorance should be taken by people here as just another attempt at that.

You know full well how many stakeholders we have and as someone has said if people aren't really opening their wallets even a modest holder can be a major forger.

I agree.

This guy is trying to spread FUD to get the price down. Anyone that falls for it though must be a donkey themselves.

50% of forging poker =/= 50% of all coins.

Most holders didn't care to forge, so a small amount of about 3.5% was enough to have 50% forging power.

How did they manage to do that? they cause the fork ? or they just took the opportunity? im not familiar how fork is happening in a POS coin, they own probably too much coin to cause the fork.  Huh enlighten me please  Smiley

Here is the answer to that question Smiley.

What happened is one entity controlled more then 50% of all the generating balance in the network and created a longer fork. (unintentionally)
This fork orphaned transactions which had been confirmed for more then 24hours causing them to become invalid.
An unconfirmed transaction automaticly becomes invalid after 24 hours and gets deleted.
The only way to make sure that this does not happen again is to use your Qora to generate blocks.

If you still get forks on version 8 and it does not want to synchronize to the longest chain please pm me your data files.

My wallet is synchronized now using Qora V8 but i lost  my 700125 qora in that fork. I remember having 2 transactions on the same day, first one from sharexcoin to my wallet and had 5 confirmations on the forked blockchain, second one from poloniex to my wallet and had 0 confirmation on that fork which means it was registered in the new blockchain. However, the second transaction took place 3 mins after the first transaction, fortunately it was sent to the right blockchain, So my question is , how long did that fork last?  we were obviously following the wrong longer blockchain, but for how long?  Embarrassed

Edit: After skimming through the last pages, I found out that sharexcoin moved all our qora coin to poloniex. poloniex knew whats going on and freeze sharexcoin asset on polo exchange. now whats gonna happen to all of these qora coins? i want to claim my qora coins from polo since i have a proof and I'm still saving the old blockchain in a different folder. we should all claim back our lost coins and the false blockchain can be used to proof the ownership of coins.

Most of the voting system has been completed.
Some GUI related stuff and the API still needs to be done.
After this is done and while we wait for the voting to be activated and for the next feature to be voted on, I will completely focus on resolving issues and small requests.

@qora,
Which feature is the easiest to be implanted?
You may consider implant the easiest feature at first.

I need ur help Qora community, 2 weeks ago I bought around 1 million coins of Qora for long term investment from sharexcoin.com .
But I've transferred all my coins to my PC wallet on the same day since I don't trust online wallets. My pc wallet was synced and saw the right balance which was 997693 .. I closed my wallet and make a several backups and went back to my normal life.

I know its quite late but i wasn't exactly following up this thread until yesterday when i saw the new v8 client i decided to run it with my wallet. I was shocked  Shocked my balance went from  997693  to 297568 qora. I checked my old client and saw the first transaction of 700125 qora has 5 confirmations in old client but when i checked the block explorer there is no result of the transaction or the receiving address. its not there in the blockchain even though it was confirmed by the old Qora Client.. did you guys have a a new blockchain or what   Huh Im really confused   Huh

here is the transaction details:

im sorry to hear that, may be you are in the fork or sharex do something bad.

transaction took place on 31/May.. did I lose my coins??

yes, the coins are gone. They were sent on a fork and as shareXcoin scammed all money, the money is gone.

Sorry!

Dame it, so everyone were screwed on that exchange? So hypothetically, if i made any transactions between my wallet addresses during that period using the old client, I'd lose my coins too??

No, if you sent coins on the fork, after 24 hours they would be returned to your wallet. The problem with ShareX, is that he's not going to resend them to you.
