Update DPZ not difficult, just copy last changed from KED, but most coins stay on scifi exchange.

Anybody know what it would take to update DPZ? Original Dev has abandoned it ( per email sent to me) so we can clone git site and update. But I'm not a dev and have yet to get a viable qt and dependencies installed.

I used to have spice and a darsek pools  but the pool host went bust.

DPZ, KED - PoW, PoS, scrypt based on Novacoin from different developer.
GPL - PoW, PoS, scrypt-jane based on YAC coin.
UFC - last version, only PoW Blake coin clone.
QBT - PoW, PoS, Sha256
SPICE - skein-algo coin

All this coins gone, when scifi exchange was closed with all ours assets.

So would anyone mind doing a review and tell me how many of those are basic copycatcoins of Litecoin/x11/etc , and how many are proof-of-stake?

It would be kinda fun to make a single source code release that builds wallets (with updated seed nodes) for all of them.

Same thoughts here, just had a spare Raspberry Pi and installed both nodes some months ago in order to assist at least two blockchains (did not get it managed to install other coins than SHA-256- and Blake-based on a Raspberry).

Original developer KED, UFC, GPL - dreamwatcher, and he not answer any privat messages.

I  have a bunch of those running, but have no idea what three of them even are: DPZ, FER and PRC.

The 99.192.75.243 IP address is what my provider is currently giving me, but my router does not obey UPNP commands so I doubt that the various ports someone showed above for my several machines running UFC will allow incoming connections. The actual default normal port should be routed to one of the machines though.

Since my internet provider could change my IP address at any time, and in the case of one of my houses does seem to change it all the damn time, it is probably best to use -dns on the command-line to enable use of hostnames for addnodes, so that you can add the nodes crossciv.no-ip.org and ufbsh.no-ip.org (for all the coins I run, which should be all of them soon if you tell me what those three I do not recognise are, and provided of course you don't drive the difficulty up to make it pointless to bother with them.)

Most of these coins you can mine just fine with one or two CPU cores, at least until some barbarian comes along with a GPU or ASIC and drives up the electricity cost for everyone by increasing the difficulty.

If everyone plays it cool we can mine these things for months or years yet with almost no cost by restraining ourselves to just a core or two per coin per person as long as the barbarians let us get away with doing so...

Yes, 256 is the UFC base difficulty.

The difficulty of UFC is quite high, 256.0. Is that by design or have someone mined on it with mega-equipment?

patch tues reboot closed most of my wallets will be moving wallets to my win10 test PC this weekend so there will be another node for most of these coins again

How many of the other blockchains are still running? When the scificointalk forum was still up there was a pretty useful thread there with nodeinfo and such. Sadly no more.

Well with the coin dead the exchange dead and my pool provider dead. I'm not real cofident of Spice coming back.

There was a lot of fun in the scifi coins that pretty well died with this exchange. It is a damn shame really. I mean shit, where else am I going to buy spice at?
