It was only the wind.
It is outdated, and hard as a mofo, IMO. I prefer to cross-compile.

Whats the best platform and compiler to do that with? When I first started this back in march, I did set up a PC to dual boot Win7 and Ubuntu 12.04LTS. When Win81 had more driver and GPU control features, I just never did anything else with the Ubuntu.

Maybe with a little support I can help carry on the torch...

I build my own cross compiler, usually.

Neoscrypt is looking better: https://ottrbutt.com/miner/neoscryptwolf-12202014.png

There is no algo like that try --algorithm x11 or -k darkcoin.cl

--algorithm x11 creates this error

http://i.imgur.com/mv9sGPZ.jpg

-k darkcoin.cl worked but im mining Miscoin at Binpool. Does it matter? And I'm getting this error

Hey Wolf0,

Sorry to bud in like this but I just came through the following, seems saying the sgminer support GPU/script and for AMD GPU only?
There also Win64 Build and apparently that build seem leading to you I assumed!

https://litecoin.info/Mining_software

Can you provided setting for litecoin GPU mining with scrypt support?
I did trying viewing options but cannot locate option leading to scrypt support!

While mining QRK since other members suggested using -i 14 and -g 2, I assume its the same for litecoins?

It would help by seeing the code leading to actual setting so I can test it as none GPU miner support script!
yes, I am using one GPU CARD!

Thank for your support

7970 just 38khs on Neoscrypt  Tongue first time, whats the setting for NEO and which is the best miner?

For 7970, look up the 280x settings.
Tried that but no luck. i am using wolf miner "wolf-neo-sgminer5-hawaii-11212014"

Don't use that one - use Nicehash's build. Hawaii chips are 290/290X.
sgminer uses ckolivas.cl instead of neo when i use that version.
bat file is something like this and neoscrypt.cl is in the same folder.
Code:
sgminer --algorithm neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.ftc.theblocksfactory.com:3333 -u x.1 -p x

You need the develop version of SG 5.

I used to do win64 builds of SGMiner, yes.

Ok just to be on same pages:
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=17533.0

Win64 of sgminer-4.1.0 does support --scrypt as cgminer oldest version then?
Can you provide a code leading scrypt support for litecoin?
I hope to see thread number and as to intensity so I can test!

To your knowlege, does sgminer starting with version 5 support scrypt same as the one explained above?
all versions of sgminer default to scrypt algo if algorithm isnt set

Which is pretty stupid - typo the algorithm name and risk crashing your system.

How to use config file?
I'm trying to use a bat file:

sgminer.exe --algorithm miscoin -o stratum+........

but this gives share is above target errors.

Can I solve with using config file and setting custom diff.?

Any idea why sgminer keeps craching?
Not one version works Sad it closes in a second

I tried your download link and some other versions

Funny that version 5.1.0 works on another PC, but on other crushes..

Try girino's miner.

Can you pls post download link to windows version of the miner you're using ( https://ottrbutt.com/miner/x13localrigwolf-02132015.png )
"sgminer 5.1.0-dev" - can't find it anywhere Sad (wouldnt ask otherwise)
I found "sgminer 5.1.0" but crashes, I would like to try also -dev version...if that doesnt work I'll stick to girinos (with fee included).

thanks wolf0

As wolf stated before.

here is a page with auto builds.

You'll find what you need there Smiley

I did try most of them, but all crash instantly
funny how some of the version work on another PC

If you have Omega driver, according to most reports, most miners crashes this one! I suggest using the require catalyst driver except newest one.

I do have the latest catalyst driver. All drivers, miners, config...are the same, but on one machine it works on other crashes

Ok, i've wanted to give it a try to 5.1 one more time, yes it mines, but has a problem, at least with my old gpu's. HD5xxx
I have:
HD5800
HD5870
HD5970

Mining is ok, but seems that miner does not control FANS at all, my gpu's temp went in a minute to 90 degrees.
Old miner version 4 controls fans just fine.

here is screenshot:

yes, this bug too. can only manually set fan speed like this:
"gpu-fan": "80,80,80,80",
Have you tried setting all that in the main body of your conf?
You should always have it set there then just add anything you want to chance for algo specific in the algo profile section.

make sure your clock speeds when mining
are really equal to those you set in your conf file

Yes, speeds are equal, sgminer 4.1 works perfect with same speeds and fan control works, but with sgminer 5.1 fan control doesn't work at all.

Thanks for comments, i hope that bug will be solved soon.

It was only the wind.
It is a free service mostly (as most people don't even donate), so the "unhappy customer" behavior, won't help you a lot....
and again the info has been posted on vertcoin thread (you should visit if you intend to mine it....)
Do you have time to make your rigs running ? (may-be you want people to send you btc directly too ?)

by the way there is a windows-build.txt file in directory doc with everything needed to build a compilation environnement under windows.
(with even the link to the packages...)

LOL, yeah, I'm so lazy that I tried that build it yourself from the text file...  It is outdated, and absolutely meaningless with the updated compiler packages nowadays.  Have you looked at it?

How would you know ?  Grin
It is may-be outdated but it works. and this is with that I compile the stuff you will download to get some money out of your investment...
once you have found the vertcoin thread

It is outdated, and hard as a mofo, IMO. I prefer to cross-compile.
