I'm happy to share the Snip October update!
During October the team has been heads down, working on research of development of machine learning technology to recognize the most interesting content in the world and distribute it effectively to high-impact online services (Facebook, Reddit, etc). This work includes topic recognition, clustering of similar stories, analysis of social media trends, and more. As part of it, SNIP are using and developing cutting-edge technologies in NLP (Natural Language Processing).

The challenge is massive but we’re witnessing consistent progress in algorithm performance and expect exponential progress in the upcoming weeks.
While we’re improving our technology, we’ve decided to temporarily stop writer incentives on the platform. The reasoning is that creating large amounts of content only makes sense if the content is later consumed by a large group of users. Lacking the sufficient technology to distribute content online, we’ve reduced content creation significantly, leading to a reduced burn rate while we’re building the software. We aim to bring back the writers and add many more writers after we’ve finished tackling the distribution challenge. "

What progress have you seen thus far? You have been developing these "techniques" for over 1 year now. What have you been doing all this bear market?
In my opinion, developing the product and better techniques to get users and go to market. Throughout most of the year developers have been working on the core product, not distribution. Now they are focused on effective go-to-market.
As I recall, SNIP was supported by the wings.ai platform. In my opinion, there are still no payments for participation in predictions. Very strange position of developers. I hope this issue will be resolved positively.
I laughed this POS coin out of the park but just had to come back to the thread to see how they did.. Sure enough its like the rest of the coins, loser third world spammers write nonsense stories about its potential and get paid $2 for it while the scammers who came up with this fraud run off with $10 million..
I also have SNIP received from one of the marketing campaign as reward and since then these tokens are in my wallet. They way they promoted and presented this project as perfect alternative of existed news sources/platform it was seeming like everything is ready. They were giving impression that in matter of days it will become highly appreciated and popular but still copy/past kind news are being shared on social media.
How it is still listed on coinmarketcap that makes me much more wonder than lack of updates. I will criticize positive one because after long long time they didn't show anything. They may claim in private channels anything but open reality on ground bases is hard truth. No exchange, no adoption not volume nothing for months now, show me anything they delivered to prove me wrong.
This is unfortunate thing seeing SNIP's market isn't showing any data on CMC today. There is some kind of increase but no volume, circulation supply and other things. There is some serious issue if that is not get sorted I think it will be removed from there. Technical advancement,marketing,partnerships and exchanges all are part of development and Snip doesn't fit on this criteria.

And really, if you look at coinmarketcap, you will notice that Snip has been growing lately. This of course pleases. I think that in a growing market growth Snip will be even more significant.

Actually they are not taking listing on exchanges as serious thing else while development on platform was going on. I will second your stance that listing on couple of good exchanges with volume is what needed most. Having good product without reaching out to right users has no value. Marketing and easy access are two important tools.

Developers continue to work on the project. I wonder what will come of it. In principle, SNIP - quite an interesting project. BUT it is necessary to organize ecenomic. Clearly, not all so quickly. But the developers have sufficient financial resources. I personally have been keeping up with the project and hope it will produce serious success. But we just have to wait a bit. Soon there will come a period of natural growth - and we'll see what potential lies in the project
Is there any dedicated place to let know the development progress and what is the future plan the team have to drive the value to this token. Dev are silent from long time and on CMC still not showing the accurate statics.
You forgot but those who are active even they can't sell since price are heavily down. Snip team don't talk on listing on normal exchanges which are good for volume and have large number of active traders. Neither exchanges nor a working product of that quality everyone was expecting has been delivered. If you look some projects came after them and are working on same concept and are advance too. Snip team don't have lot of time because they are not alone in this field as competition will just increase with time.

I'm still holding the tokens . I hope in 2019 there will be a good opportunity for the growth of the token and the sale to fix the profit .
Of course, it’s worth working for a team on marketing a project. Weakly everything goes. At the very beginning I was sure of the success of the project. There is still hope for growth
Indeed nobody can deny the importance of marketing in ongoing competition the more wider it will reach, the more bigger adoption will happen for this ecosystem. The team has good idea but lack of marketing and communication is killing the momentum of this project. Now it has been turned into long term investment.
