Well I never, a turkey votes for xmas to come early.

It is already Easter. 51% or more owned by Bitfury... we are all at risk. Unless you can get hash power in the hands of millions asap then the only hope to spread the network would be China and a variety of fabricators and massive mining farms. How SPTech reacts moving into 2015 will be important if diversity actually happens.

"YingFei still takes time playing the role of a miner by managing Bitmain's own 3000 kilowatt solo mine."

Psst... SPTech doesn't have a 3000 kilowatt farm. That above is just 1 player in China and 1 mine, there are plenty of others chomping at the bit to get their mines up and powered with the most efficient chips. China is a very competitive playing field within their borders so diversity there, at least for the short term into 2015 is the best option for Bitcoin. I don't think BitFury is trying to kill Bitcoin but they do need the competition.

Only newbies check the calculators. True miners don't give a f*** about ROI.

on topic comment: Spondoolies customers care about ROI. I can tell from reading their thread.

Only newbies check the calculators. True miners don't give a f*** about ROI. Everyone and their mother had complaints about ROI going in the fall of 2013. Then boom, they all jumped on the bandwagon when BTC went over $1000. I am now hearing people talking again about ROI. Soon there will be another boom  Grin

Yep, just buy BTC like clockwork, then use some %% (I would say 10-15%, but it is different for each person) of that BTC to buy miners, get more BTC.
The best of both worlds.

On a lighter note... 1 New shekel has been bet. The biggest loser by January 1st 2015 me or Guy has to pay the other. Might take charity side bets in escrow and the winners charity gets the proceeds. Im having some pizza and beer for my swan song... I hope guy has his jogging shoes ready!

As for ROI... anyone can check that so debates seem pointless really... Personally I'm more interested in the pickaxe and beyond... with bitmain bitfury owning too much of the network we need to see a greater spread of the network. Sptech is committed to that diversity... I hope we see more East West integration so that the network is properly protected.

If the miners are of the same batch, then it can be different DCRs, different intake temperatures or just difference between board ASICs. Latest FW might give you 1% more. The settings you have should work good.

I have found out, that 4 out of 8 SP10s, that are running lower hash rates, have different values in DCR:
Code:
DC2DC DCR inductor flag loop 0 (0xD0) = 0x2
DC2DC DCR inductor flag loop 1 (0xD0) = 0x2
DC2DC DCR inductor flag loop 2 (0xD0) = 0x2
DC2DC DCR inductor flag loop 3 (0xD0) = 0x2

The other 4 have all 0x0 and are hashing nicely around 1450. All 8 miners are in the same datacenter, ambient temp has dropped from 35C to 34C now.

Can you please suggest me something for this slow hashing units?

Thank you.

now, here is a discussion worth having.
Bitcoin is a global money and the more spread that the hashrate spreads, the better - we know it's inevitable that we are going to see the bigger players holding the lions share and what we really want to see and need to see is those bigger players building their mining houses, spread across the world and offering shares/cloud and other community offerings. Spondoolies have already remarked that they are commited to helping spread this as far and wide as possible. I'm a big fan of this IDEA.

Been here two years and Spondoolies-tech has been the only one to recommend to split any ROI or "break even" talk into another thread. Not sure why they would want multiple threads all over, but that in itself was quite odd since I've never seen that before.  Just didn't sit right with me, but doesn't make much of a difference really.

Personal text my ass....
*cough*

Perhaps everyone, including the manufacturers themselves, and even the poster above should take heed of this advice.

To be fair however, it seems like everyone else's main hardware thread is fair game for debate about all and sundry topics that touch on the companies products, performance, customer service, ethics, politics, personal predilections etc etc etc ad-nauseam-infinitum.

You can't have it both ways, a journalist should understand that. This is a forum, it is designed to generate debate and conversations about the topics started.

As a purchaser of KnC, Bitmain, Dragons, Spondoolies, BFL, AM, and some lucky near misses with Hashfast, Cointerra, Bitmine and various other scams, I feel balanced enough in my hardware affiliations to be sick to the teeth of the infighting and bitching that goes on in here.

Please feel free to moderate this off topic reply and the post its replying to.

Why hosted? A real man keeps his miner in his house and uses it for a pillow.

I replaced my mattress with SP10s. Keeps me warm at night.
I replaced all my furniture with SP10s. Put four legs on it and you have a table. Legs and a back = chair. For cooking, I just have two SP10s upside-down. I fry hash-browns while I hash.

What if you accidentally sat on it?

Mate, you are not averse to mining alts. I'm doing pretty nicely on my coin of choice at the moment with an SP10 and 2 x BFL singles.
i'm outperforming BTC by quite a bit - however there will still be blinkered and unimaginative trolls flooding the thread here demanding to know about ROI and some of us will still get swept up by it - that's the entire purpose of a troll, to spread FUD and limit business.

I'll say it again, while the SP30 still sells at $5k, it's a profitable investment, whether that is a fact which is appreciated or not, is not really my concern.
It just shows that some people are unable to do the slightest bit of research and will always remain blinkered and narrow minded.
Yes, cash out to BTC at every chance you get, by all means - doesn't mean you are shackled and bound to mine BTC - which some seem to be.

Saying the SP30 will be profitable is like telling the future. I'm an open minded person but in the years I've been alive I'm pretty sure no one can really predict the future.

Good news for all the clients expecting (and receiving) June/July SP10 batch - the Slow corner is over, we are getting performance of 1.47-1.52 on all SP10s of last batch.

Thank you again, Zvisha. I guess, because of the off-topic going on the last two pages, you have missed my question

Thanks!

What about DC2DC current limit?

EDIT: It is in the DC, I have several SP10s. With your recommendations some of them are hashing around 1450 some around 1400. What's the way of fine tuning every each miner for optimal maximum performance?

Thank you.

Already 24 hours running in DC, 208V, 35 ambient. START DC:0.66 | MAX DC: 0.73 | PSU: 1260 | DC2DC: 62

35°C ambient? ouch. That doesn´t look too much like a professional DC.

How much do they charge you per unit?

er don't mean to rain on the parade..but that means (likely imho) that the beg of sept 2014 sp30 I have ordered will be basically a large 'door stop' by say December (the elec use at 15c kwh here....so essentially a "Lot" of the equip end of summer and beginning of fall will not ROI ...due to the simple fact that every one shot their "load' then and no $$ nor any real reason vs say btc price by december to get miners...ie all the lemmings (equip purchases in that time frame) have essentially went 'lemming' and jumped off the cliff at that same time?

(off i go with the thundering herd over the cliff..the freeddom of free flying lemmings)

thus your point is ..with no 'real' equip purchases after that point due to difficulty ...all will level off at that point in that buying equipment as a home user will be dead?

again not a slam but enlighten please (i have no ego left go to it) and er perhaps i am too harsh but hardly comforted in the fact it will level off 'difficulty' wise with the early demise of my sp30 due to the amount of equipment hitting the skids....(ie home mining is dead vs return..long live large PH farms)

if what I say has any truth...well that is pretty much how i time my investments ...the tail end of the dog..so I guess it makes sense

Searing
So what are you saying ? That the machines you ordered for Sept will not ROI ? Nobody can know for sure what will happen in two months

Hey zvi, could you give some kinda generalized settings for each type of corner?

It depends on DCR and temperature.
Best to start low (0.666 start voltage, 0.730 max voltage) and it will settle on best, it's just a question of time.
All the rest are improvements to find optimal point faster - not really important since our SW is stable when it runs.
