I'm getting other errors now.   Thanks for all your help I will try again tomorrow night.  I might just try to do a clean install on my computer this is just crazy.  I need to sleep before work.  I really appreciate all of your help.

There's a working .conf for you. I'm using that right now. Put it in the roaming (%appdata%) folder where wallet.dat is

Yes, it's in Roaming.  I don't know, though. When you try to load the QT up as a server, that little box that pops up will tell you exactly where it needs to be. That's the problem you're having, though. Either the .conf is named wrong, not saved as a .conf instead of a .txt, or it's in the wrong place. One of those

It says if the file does not exist create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.  But i dunno what that is.  I have the conf file with password so I'm confused

Your conf is in %appdata%/copperbars folder and not the folder with your solo.bat and qt are right?

Sounds like you have it named copper bars.conf.txt or something. Either that OE the config is in the wrong folder.

Basically the error you are getting is it can't find the config file

I had the s on the end just forgot to type it when i copied the file and pasted cause i typed in the copperbars.conf words into chat. Sorry.  Although I was still having the same error as before .

I keep getting error to use server option you must set rpcpassword in conf file.  I have one its not seeing it.
I even added the ones they suggested but it kept changing everytime it restarted with same message.

In notepad, where it says File Type, change it to All Files (*.*), then save it as solo.bat or whatever

I changed the few things on my conf and added the bat file and relaunched but it just opens and closes the folder immediately.  The .bat file says it a text how do I change it to a bat, instead .bat.text.

Need sleep!  I will setup linux version tomorrow.  Hopefully the difficulty isn't too bad by then.

Just saw this at 1 am here and set up the miner in 5 minutes!  Got some coming in within the first minute.  Any way to get this running on gpu? I'm thinking maybe the same setup as yacoin?  I'm running Nvidia though so I don't know if cgminer works with that.

After you have done this, create a .bat in your CopperBars folders and have it say this:

CopperBars.exe -server

That will launch your QT as a server to solo mine and use the config files from %appdata% folder

I added the first five nodes in a conf file and they are not showing up in debug log only ones from 200+hours ago.  How can i manually input in console.  When I try I get error.

You shouldn't need any nodes, uPnP is enabled, so syncing shouldn't be an issue, but if it is then here's some:

Awesome! I only announced it in this thread as well as Cryptsy chat, so it's seen as a fair launch, but still giving the dedicated Spots community that checks this thread a very minor head start, since you guys are going to be the ones actually using the Bars instead of random miners being greedy
