OK here's my final animation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWBfT_5q0fo

I can't believe how bad the quality looks. Next time when I make one of these i'll make it at true 1920 x 1080. I had it like that but I rendered it at 50% quality so now it looks crap.

Thoughts...

It looks way better on mobile.  That said, the animation on the water is pretty rockin.  You gotz skillz...

But what if...instead of the random boxes, the waterfall was spilling over the SPR logo onto/into a globe of the world with a way to make  some of the splashes representative of decentralized nodes?  It would make it a bit more thematic of the coin...

Just an idea; I can't do what you do but I think it is cool...-thumbsup-

HunterMinerCrafter has disappeared. I used to PM him a lot and we used to talk but now suddenly he's gone. I'm sad. I hope nothing bad happened to him. Sad

He is the reason I actually found Spreadcoin. I looked through his post history and saw it.

I hope he comes back on here.

Oh and btw this next animation I made looks super realistic. Well, the water does anyway. It doesn't have anything to do with Spreadcoin other than the fact that the logo is in it but it looks pretty awesome.
My internet sucks so it's going to take 1 hour to upload the 100mb file. The Youtube URL will be http://youtu.be/LWBfT_5q0fo

Thanks Jesse Smiley Appreciate that mate because I was trying to remember where I had read about it and wasn't feeling up to going through the posts to find it right now lol I'm beat and exhausted from all the BTC hub bub today and still trying to collect more SpreadCoin while keeping up with everything lol Cheers

No problem. By the way, you might want to swallow your pride and gobble up as much SPR at these prices (nearly 3 BTC-worth available from here at .00055 to .0006) because it looks like the difficulty chart is matching up with price chart....both have made decent bases and are ready to pop higher again.

And speaking of mining, I've stopped mining with my 7950 (roughly 1 mh/s) due to finding a block only once every 3 days or so now. At this price I'm making only about $0.23 per day and electricity, finally and unfortunately, is more so it's no longer profitable to mine for me at this price. Here's the kicker though: per coinwarz.com I would only be making $0.03 per day mining the top X11 (which is pretty consistently DRK). So SPR is still nearly 9x more profitable to mine than competing coins.

Unbelievable coin here in SPR as we watch BTC's demise.

So the wallet must be running first before you open up the sgminer ?

You can't run sgminer without running the wallet?
Yes I believe so and you also need to set up your priv keys from wallet into your .conf file I do believe Smiley Don't quote me though I did get a miner running for this coin but it wasn't powerful enough to mine any blocks but that is what I did Smiley

I dont think need privkey, just have wallet running and mine to it.

BTW Mr.Spread, nice coin  Smiley

How does it stop pool from mining this coin?
please read the white paper and previous posts.

pfft Not going to read 3000+ posts lulz.
I read whitepaper. It says people can steal other coins blocks from pools when mining?
Go through the Dev Mr. Spread's recent posts and you will find the miner guide he set up not too long ago Smiley

I already mining Wink
I only wondering how exactly pool cannot mine this?

Mr. Spread answered that here initially:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8754610

Then here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8783519

And then this discussion he had with another crypto-geek will hurt your head:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9273182
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9282072

This took 4 minutes to find by looking at Mr. Spread's early posts.

Make sure you also check out VIOR https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-viorcoin-voice-video-call-viornumber-cheap-international-calls-834910 it's ground breaking, but this coin is great as well!
If it wasn't proof-of-stake I would have considered it a good investment.

I believe that it has to deal with how you can only have 4 miners mining to a single SpreadCoin wallet or something to do with that but I'm not entirely sure all I know is if it was pool mineable that there would for sure already be pools set up for this coin IMO Smiley

How about creating a wiki for SpreadCoin?
For now we can host our wiki on github: https://github.com/spreadcoin-project/SpreadCoin-Wiki/wiki
Everyone who is registered on githib can edit it right now, I will restrict access in the future if it will become a problem.
We will need to move mining guide to our wiki: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9980038
There is other useful information in this thread but it is hard to find it.
Anyone wants to work on this? Just register on github if you are not already and you should be able to edit it.

P.S. SpreadCoinTalk will be available soon.
Great! +1
Cheerleader noob ,are you willing to do the editting work ?  Wink
I can do the editing if you would like.

We found mining with small hashrate very lackluster with an unknown outcome. Now whom might be interested in joining a private pool if we was to create one?  Wink
If you can set up a pool,I'd like to mine there.
Somebody has already tried the pool mining before, but failed.
400Mh/s+ hashpower mined with the net hashrate of 2Gh/s then for half day, found no block.
I am interested how you'll set up a pool for a solo mining coin.  Grin
