Hello! A few, maybe two weeks ago (I haven't been able to keep up with the time to fix this) my miner dropped its hashrate considerably from around 100Mh/s to 2.3Mh/s... At first I thought that could have been caused by a necessary driver update but I just did it and the problem remains the same. Then I uploaded the miner from 0.7.17 to 0.7.22 and tried with .21 aswell...

Does anybody could know what could be the problem I'm having? Thanks in advance.

My rig:
6 AMD RX570 4GB (one of them fails after some minutes mining, so I just use 5)
Radeon Software Adrenalin (Latest december 8th update)
Win 10 Pro x64
I use ethermine pool

set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
teamredminer.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us1.ethermine.org:4444 -u walletaddress.wname -p x --restart_gpus --uac --eth_alloc_epoch=374 --eth_4g_max_alloc=374 -d 1,2,3,4,5

I tried adding --enable_compute aswell...

One option could be to try another miner like PM to see what its hasrate is but I though Windows was dead....on linux its only 20mh/s so windows makes sense to be 2-5 per card?

HI to all!
How can I use watchdog_script, if I only wanted to restart TRM if a GPU failed and don't want to restart the computer?

From my comparisons between phoenix and teamredminer, seems that phoenix is faster to achieve the pool rate equal to the gpu raw hashrate than teamredminer. Meaning you have to leave teamredminer for longer period of time to stabilize its pool rate speed at the speed of gpu hashing rate. Maybe my bad luck, or maybe the teamredminer has harder time finding shares? Im not a specialist in that regards, so feel free to correct me.

Either show the data to back that up or you are just spouting your feelz.

Data has been provided showing TRM gets the most accepted shares.  You can search for that and see recently this has been proven with actual data not just ... i feelz..11 threads up its there....

Can't seem to find any settings to tune gpu clocks/memory/voltage and fan speed. I want to move from phoenix miner, but this miner seems to not have this settings. Can anyone confirm this?

It will come in the future. But Teamredminer has more shares on poolside yet, so change to teamred. I changed all my miners from phönix and claymore to teamred and effective hashrate is higher.

Since i use my PC for gaming too, i don't like the idea of switching wattman profile each time i use miner and then want to game. Thus phoenix miner is the way to go for me sadly. If i've used dedicated mining rig, i would switch to teamredminer for sure, since i can just tweak the settings once and be done with it.

Edit: Disregard my post. You can add teamredminer exe as a game profile in wattman, and then tune memory, clock and voltage for that specific profile. Pretty neat AMD!

teamredminer now available on STEAM!!! (J/K)...

Thats what I wanted to say: The Wattman lets you add profiles to your desired exe. It then sets any Frequencies and cooling curves that you have saved into as soon as you launch the program.

yeah, not to worry about share diff.  you are remunerated on the diff per share

hi, could be some form of thermal throttle...your mem temps(92) are running hot for continual 24/7 operation. dont know if that helps.

thanks for answering. I set the fans a little faster. its on ethermine. Cant I set the difficulty in some way? There are so many new jobs but only few a shares.

I've set the Config to A512 manually now. But still many new Jobs and only few shares. Or is this normal behaviour? Shouldnt I use the B config with a 5700 XT? Problem is, the pool doenst report any hashrate then..

Dont worry the higher diff...means those fewer shares are worth more each....works out to same.

Thanks for your contribution to the community!

Are there any special configs for 5700 XTs?
Im getting about 51MH at 1786 Mhz Memspeed and about 115W on Windows. The difficulty is set to 0.931 / 4000 MH automatically. Should I set it to the one that corresponds to the hashing power of my card?

Its my gaming PC, so I could only install another OS via USB or something - if that helps.
Havent tweaked the Timings, as its too much of a hassle right now. TRM sets the config to A 312. I tried to force a B config (for more than 4GB?). It sets B 384 then.

I guess the difficulty is too low?

i confirm:

9 * RX580 NITRO + SE / 8GB straps || 1H10 TEST

PheonixMiner: 303MHS / 247 SHARES
TeamRedMiner: 297MHS / 299 SHARES

yes is even more with the claymore straps in memory;) straps + TRM = currently

But still a lot of work, I can't wait to see the evolution

Assuming windows...
For clocks, voltages, mem timings, and fans, you can use AMDMemTweakXL
Or if you want a console alternative, you can use OverDriveNTool for clocks, voltages and fans, plus AmdMemTweak (not XL) for timings.

To reset your fan after mining, you can just set up a fan profile that appropriately adjusts to temps (the miner even supports this now) - or, if you're on Windows, you can just add a line at the end of your miner bat that calls ODNT to reset the GPU (or even load a different profile), eg:
Code:
"C:\...\OverdriveNTool.exe" -consoleonly -r0
(change '0' to whatever gpu number(s) you need)

To say there is 'a lot of work' is a little misleading.  This miner does what it's supposed to - it's the fastest at hashing, and many would prefer that we continue to allow the devs to focus on that part.  Of course, others want an all in one package, so as the user base grows, the devs of course acquiesce and add in these tangential features as requested, but do realize that these efforts take time away from what really makes this software special - these guys have by far the most/deepest knowledge of how to squeeze max performance out of AMD GPUs

Shares are not  everything. There is also share difficulty and the total share*diff is what counts
My small comparison - mining etc with 470 rig 4g

left side P5.4c right TRM latest, pool Hiveos, average is 2-3% higher on P5.4c

To answer myself - it seems
Quote
--prog_config=A480
is enough
The weird thing, 470 Nitro 4G makes 12MH and the monitor is on that card. XFX 470 4G makes 9mh ... same settings, no monitor connected...I just don't get why
Both cards were "striped", on ether their speed is almost same, Nitro is 0.5mh faster

Can someone give an example of good config for Kawpow and RX470/570 cards?
