The slots are no longer labeled "A1 A2" etc, rather now they are just 0 1 2 3 .. E F

My bad performing card is in slot 7 and I haven't tried to the other slots out yet

edit: Slot 7 card just died, I will move it to a new slot and see if it hashes any better there

2nd edit: Okay, there ARE banks, they just arent labeled on the PCB.  Messing around with trying them in different banks now

10x H boards heatsinked and running; getting 36 GH/s per board

Currently pulling about 420 w on a gold PSU

Pictures and thermals coming soon
Taco can you post log from  admin page  ? I'm curious how many chip fully work on new version H-board.
And pictures boards  with your heasink Tongue

100% of chips are returning some sort of valid nonce, impressively, and the startup dump says 100% good cores

One board is a little bunk and throws a massive amount of errors in comparison to the others and the chips are tuning down to about 25 GH/s after a little while.  Rest of the boards seem OK.
Good news, I ordered few board to and hope get similar result.
There is still lower performance in last slot (A4, B4) on each  bank ? I tested many config, and all board have ~20% lower scores in last slot.
Unless overclocking do not see this too much. But with the increase voltage and Gh per board, the difference grows significantly.

2: 872 42.191 43.970 2947 151 0 0

Does anyone know how to downclock the chips on the new boards? I don't have enough cooling apparently and my heat sinks won't arrive for another week. The chips just keep cycling, the high side of 575GH for my whole rig, and then down to 100GH, slowly, as the Hboards turn the chips off one by one.

The DHCP script did not work for my network, I had to have a friend go in the Pi and help me set up a static IP manually.

Aside from that, the October rig is great. For anyone still waiting on theirs, make sure you have good cooling ready to go. I am looking at some 100cfm 120mm fans right now, but I might get ones a little stronger.

First, get alot of airflow through the cards. A cheap large box fan would probably suffice. If that doesn't solve the problem, you can turn off a few chips on each H-board to reduce the heat and current draw to prevent the regulator from shutting off. Let the autotuner do its thing with the rest of the chips. Do that by creating /opt/bitfury/best.cnf with something like this:
Code:
1 AIfDSo 54
2 AIfDSo 54
3 aifdso 0
4 AIfDSo 54
5 AIfDSo 54
6 AIfDSo 54
7 aifdso 0
8 AIfDSo 54
9 AIfDSo 54
10 AIfDSo 54
11 aifdso 0
12 AIfDSo 54
13 AIfDSo 54
14 AIfDSo 54
15 aifdso 0
16 AIfDSo 54
17 AIfDSo 54
...
256 AIfDSo 54
Restart chainminer after changing best.cnf:
Code:
sudo /opt/bitfury/start-miner.sh

I would advise against that - youll be trowing away too much hashpower. You have a few options i can think of:
1) cool better - heatsinks and fans will make the unit totally stable.
2) reduce chips to 52 or 53 tuning. youll lose maybe 10% speed but should gain stability as a result.
3) replace resistor R02F. A slightly higher resistance will reduce the hashrate to a stable level.

personally, i advise getting some better heatsinks and/or airflow. it is worth it for the extra 0.2-0.5BTC you will earn in the long run

Cool thank you, I figured the DIff part was simple.

I have 3 Dead banks or at least they say 0 Noncerate. I cannot flip them to different slots until later.

I noticed these did not have anything marked on them to tell you what Bank to use either. There any advice you can give on that Dave? Or does it matter on these new ones which bank they are in?

Does anyone have a good guide for what diff you should set these too, what would be good for 550GH?

Also is there a way to reset individual banks?

Last question how do you know if you have bad chips on bank?

I scrolled through the guide but did not find these answers.

Thanks

1) Hash rate / 1.4

2) not sure

3) think this should show it: (I'm not 100% sure on this, not at home to test right now)
Code:
sudo nano /run/shm/.stat.log

They can't drop their prices before they ship all preorders at the old higher price.

Yes, I know that.  I think that's why they now stopped selling additional kits and boards.  And it won't take them much longer to ship all remaining orders.  I don't think they actually assemble anything, they just pack them up and ship.  So I bet they are finished by the end of the week.  And in a week or two, the price will drop.

That's my theory.  Smiley

Static pressure is often more important than airflow... I'm going to heatsink my boards and then try 3x coolermaster r4 120mm 2000 rpm fans on my rig tomorrow and then check the chip and thermal regulator temps with a thermal diode and give you guys some data

Unless they refuse refunds on current orders that are near shipping within a few weeks... Wink
