I thought there will be no merge mining.
its beeing tested and I doubt that all the work you can see on github is just for fun. How do you conclude that there will be no merge mining?

Do we have a Chinese translator in the Viacoin Community who is willing to do this?
I've a few Chinese friends who I can ask to look at it and could have it translated in a week or so. but the text has to be ready for coinpayments.Net by the weekend which is tomorrow.

So Via is not just a testbed for BTC.? It's aiming for specialist uses but sharing in an open way with all?

Yep, mined them through the trademybit pool and they are clearly not going to be valid blocks it seems 
The pool is still showing the last block as Saturday which is basically the last block I mined. They didn't switch to the new fork so I guess I am screwed unless the Devs decide to look favourably on me

No, it means the pool failed to update as requested on Nov 1st for a planned hard fork three weeks later and has been out of sync ever since.
