Keep defending this scam of a mixer , with constant downtimes, I did copy a private key buy it turns out it was the wrong one , I have letter of guarantee, I signed messages from sending address, I have everything that proves I made the transaction but still this scam of a mixer ignored my support email ..

There is absolutely zero reason to ignore a support email , except of course you set out to scam.

Whirlwind are not scammers. You lost your private key without making a back-up and for that reason are trolling.

In that case I'd shut up and not waste my time discussing but I'll remain standing beside that guy until he gets his funds.
CryptoHFs, are you still standing beside that guy? He is still asking for his funds but nobody apart from your CryptoHFs account and his stormbounty account is stating Whirlwind owe him anything. The truth is Whirlwind owe him zero and you are riding along in the thread for the sake of attention-seeking.

(I know the onion URL is avalaible but I can't install Tor or anything currently)
You don't have to install anything, and you can always use portable browsers that run fine on their own without leaving traces, this is available both in wiNd0ws and Linux (AppImage), and they can be loaded even from USB stick.
Tor browser works perfectly as portable app, but there is also alternative Brave browser that can be used with new private Tor window.

stormbounty has regularly distorted messages to suit his agenda. Apparently (according to him) several forum members along with Whirlwind are scammers and all because he lost his private key containing $200.

Do you remember his posts when stated humanity was dead or dying? He also stated he had medical bills to pay and he had taken loans. stormbounty is nothing more than an attention-seeker and thus his words should not be given any form of importance.

He really should take your advice and go out more.

Haha, begging the scamming admin to fix his scam trap lol

What a joke, how else will noobs lose money if everything is fixed .

Nice way of distorting my message.

I'm not begging, I'm just asking if the site will be operational soon. I'm well aware that websites need maintenance, the whole internet works like this.
Unlike what you're trying to make out, I'm not asking "please whirlwindmoney, I'm begging on the knees, let me create a Note".

I'm far to be a newbie in the niche. On the other side, it seems since YOU are the one who lost money because you haven't been able to use it with caution , so you're the newbie here

"his scam"?
Well, great scam since the system works. I wish we could get a lot of scams like this.

Plus there are 56 characters (LoyceV confirmed that all addresses cannot be shorter than 56 char. ) so it is complicated to remember something like that and type directly into the address bar. Copy/paste only.
I believe that TOR users know the importance of copying the address from a reliable source.
Still, it's best to have a .onion address with some easy to remember parts. Starting with "whirlwind" would be a good start, but even better if there's something nice after it. The way to do that is by creating several domain names, and then manually picking the best one. The best one I've seen was "facebookcorewwwi.onion" (now expired). Even if a user remembers only part of it, it's very unlikely that someone else is able to create a similar domain.
Unfortunately, with much longer domain names, it's much harder to remember even a part.

Thank you! That means that I will copy the address from my own signature or the announcement thread and compare a few letters of the domain with a written down/printed out copy of the domain.

Then again the question comes to my mind if someone could create an .onion link/domain with just 1 letter different than the original whirlwind site?
Note that any .onion address is a hash of a public key which is derived from a private key through cryptographic functions and it's not that you can generate any .onion address you want. Of course, you can generate a vanity address with a few known characters (like the one which is used by whirlwind).

Quick question regarding the safe use of Tor Browser when accessing Whirlwind:

I basically never use Tor except for Whirlwind. So whenever I wanna access the site and its currently down on the "normal internet" I start up Tor and then have to get the correct link. Now in a "normal browser" I can verify the link (whirlwind.money) and if it's not for some super weird malware if it's correct I'm almost certainly on the right site.
For Tor however I'm always kind of scared that I access another site so I usually go to this announcement thread and check the link in the OP. I could also just copy the link through the signature but then if again, if some malware alters my clipboard, I could go to some .onion site that looks just like whirlwind and wouldn't notice the different link.
So is there some easy/quick way to just reliantly go to the right site? If I bookmark the correct link and then maybe write down the url on a piece of paper so I can compare it real quick?
Then again the question comes to my mind if someone could create an .onion link/domain with just 1 letter different than the original whirlwind site?

I know that those are quite a lot of questions that might be ovious for some of you but maybe someone could help me to ease up a little bit when using Tor Cheesy

@whirlwindmoney, Hello

You're surely working on it but do you think the SSL handcheck will be fixed during the week?

I used to feel sorry for you because your incompetence unfortunately led you to a situation where are incapable of getting back the private key you failed to keep a copy of. Now there is no pity at all. I have added you to my ignore list and as a result of your constant spamming I have left you appropriate feedback.

You lost your private key and Whirlwind owe you nothing. It is as simple as that.

Don’t feel sorry for me just stop scamming newbie users or encouraging the scams

Whirlwindmoney is a criminal setup targeted at ripping newbies off their funds. They circlejerk and justify theft amongst themselves.

I've been following up on your case since and have chosen to be ignorant of it; it's not my business, though. But judging from your story, you really don't have anyone to blame but yourself.

Let's assume you generated a wallet using any of the non-custodial wallets out there: electrum, metamask, or any other. And once you generate the address, a private key or phrase is issued out to you with a warning message to store it safely in case you misplace it or by mistake it gets into someone else's custody. That's on you. So if you misplace it, will you go back to the wallet provider and request that they give you back the key? When there was never any agreement that they back up any of that your data?

If you lose your private key, you lose your money, and there are no two ways about it, unless there are people who will feel pity for you and help you send a few coins in order for you not to die of a heart attack. If not, just forget about the money; that's a price you have to pay for your carelessness.

That's going to be an interesting feature, really. I don't think there has ever been a crypto mixer that offered instant exchange integrated into the mixing process, to be honest.
Not that I know, but there are plenty of instant exchanges who are doing something similar and swapping Monero to Bitcoin and vice versa and I think one mixer is already using monero as advanced option for mixing Bitcoin.
I could even argue that some of this exchanges (they can be found on kycnot.me) exist longer and they are acting like mixers in this case, they don't charge high fees for this service so it won't be anything revolutionary if Whirlwind does this.
Even big centralized exchanged acted in similar way back in the days when they didn't have mandatory kyc for everyone.

I for one am excited about the addition of ETH and XMR! Should be some good times ahead and hopefully some faster growth comes with it, too.
Yes because we can easily mixed from Bitcoin to ETH,  XMR and vice vassal This is a big addition to anonymity privacy and control,  I for one will love to try that out right away if it available or I will look forward to when that feature is fully implemented on the site.

Indeed some exciting time ahead!

For the most part, I've avoided using instant exchanges primarily because of high fees (at one point, I even thought about developing my own instant exchange that wouldn't charge any fees at all and would perform coin swaps based on the current market price). Let's just hope that Whirlwind won't charge high fees in their case and that using the mixer with the coin swapping option will still be more cost-effective than going through a traditional exchange.

I don’t want it mixed anymore.

You popping up here out of nowhere and calling the user "stormy" instead of his real username "stormbounty" makes me wonder what connection you two have. You previously stated that there is no connection.
Let's assume there's a connection. Does that change the fact that he has an issue? No. Then those connection moans won't work.

For me I have wrote my final thoughts about the case in the fatfork discussion. So I won't bother wasting more time in it.

BTW WW won't give extra bonus for the alt idea
