A successful scam coin, ninja launched at 2am. Then instamined by the developers and a few that were up late and caught it. Look at the first page, there are comments such as "its still low difficulty there is something wrong." That slow diff adjustment was on purpose so that the instamine could go on all night while everyone else was asleep.

Dude, you do realize there are time zones on the gahdamned Earth? Or you maybe think that only US people are into cryptocurrencies? Think, dammit, think before you throw shiet at thin air.

Anyway, I respect you opinion, do not agree with you, but I really wish you a good luck and I am sorry to hear you have decided to leave crypto.

Not leaving crypto, just off to more profitable crypto ventures. And doing quite well, surprisingly.

I lost my 1BTC when I buy hiros for 3500 sat ... bad bad idea Smiley

Daaaaammmmn, and I thought I had lost money! Sorry to hear that man.

Gotta hold at these prices, HIRO will find a comfortable seating at 4500 Satoshi when the BTC market finds its bottom and rises again. Then a steady rise to 10000 Satoshi over the following months. My speculation, but totally reasonable IMHO.

dude that sounds Great but its getting harder and harder to keep the faith.(im one of those dumbasses holding)
but ye selling at these prices would really suck i guess im along for the ride be it to 1 or 10000 sat.(maybe id unload some at 5k sat but not at these prices)

Will Bitcoin Rise Again to $60,000?
Thanks for the comments! These might be better without the handshake, but I figure it adds to the trust/gateway symbolism. Open to criticism..

looks good.

Nice design jobs!

p2pool.n00bsys0p.co.uk:9408 is down, any idea when it will be up and running again? as i have had to move my miners off to a multipool for now

Hi there, the issue was due to the VPS provider having a hardware failure. I've had a fair bit of instability recently so I'm setting up a different server for my P2Pools. Apologies for the downtime.

These are tough times for crypto pretty much across the board. Maybe now is a good time to hold fiat or maybe now is the time to buy all the coins. I do not know but the technical side of Hirocoin is progressing well. In the last week there have been two security updates and development is progressing, we will soon see new features and versions. Anyone paying attention can see that we are more actively developed than the majority of others. Our hard work will be noticed and will pay off eventually. I work without paying attention to the value of the coin, as a currency the price does not matter, well, the lower the value the cheaper it is to send funds. To investors the price is all important and right now crypto is not looking good. However I, and a lot of others, expect a turning point, judging that turning point is all important for investors.

Personally I would say that if you held this far then keep holding, selling at its lowest does not make sense to me and this is a long term project.

You people really now nothing about trading and investments. NEVER sell when the market is this low, NEVER.

We're not talking about semi-proven investments - bitcoin, litecoin. We're talking about a altcoin (of which there are many) which is barely a month old and has plummeted straight down.

In fact, you could say exactly the same thing about every other altcoin that's clearly dead or dying. Why not buy them?

Your point could relate to BTC and LTC as well. Bunch of people bought it when it was $1200 and lots of these guys sell it now when it is under $400.
My answer is still the same, NEVER sell when the market is going down. In a couple of months, all most of these alts ll go back, BTC will go to over $1200 and the only ones who ll end up losing money are panic sellers. Why? Because cryptos are the FUTURE and X11 is a great advance within crypto world.

This same pattern of high volatility was present with BTC and LTC when they were at this stage and look at them now. Do you really think cryptos are going to die this year and we are gonna be left only with BTC and LTC?Huh

Anyway, I respect you opinion, do not agree with you, but I really wish you a good luck and I am sorry to hear you have decided to leave crypto.

Security Update - 0.8.6.2

Due to the vulnerability in discovered in OpenSSL we are releasing updated clients built with the latest version of OpenSSL which is patched against the 'Heartbleed' flaw. You are only vulnerable if you use the rpcssl option from the command line option. Bitcoin GUI users of the payment request feature on 0.9 were exposed to this vulnerability but this does not apply to us as this feature is disabled in our release.

In addition to this fix, Mac now has QR code support and shows the version clearly in the about window.

Download the updated 0.8.6.2 client from the Official Hirocoin Download page.

Congratulations on the speedy fix for this problem. I know you guys were up all night working on the code and double - triple - checking it. That's dedication !

In fact, I quote you in this very same thread:

Only 10 active buy orders on Mintpal, I am really trying to be positive about this but it does not look bright.

All.

I wish you all the best for the future, but I'm sad to say I've decided to sell my (small) investment in HIRO. I'm only posting this as advice to other investment holders, as previously I've stated I believed in HIRO but unfortunately that's just no longer the case.

I've seen my investment decline to only 1/3 of it's original value, and I've no reason to believe the decline will stop. It's already in the 600s on Poloneix (668 Polo, 711 MintPal) I stopped mining a long time ago for the same reason. A pity because I LOVE the X11 algo, and it's quiet/cool/lowWatt nature.

I've seen nothing which would prevent a fall to around 200 or 100, or even worse, in the 10's, rendering my investment worthless.

Hopefully the plan succeeds, and Hiro becomes "The GPU Miners Coin", but I'm just not seeing it myself. Others may think otherwise and I respect that, this coin does have a good chance of succeeding, but just not good enough for me.

What could have been done better? While I can see some action from the developers on technical matters, there has been zero action in regards to marketing and other promotion. I see that as the failure of this coin. If I was a cynic I would say that the efforts of HiroS and Joerii have simply kept as many people holding as possible, only delaying the inevitable, perhaps to their advantage. Still, I'm not sure what could realistically be done in the current market anyway.

I can say I have been impressed with HiroS's continued technical development of the coin, and there is fair evidence that he does actually believe in it.

In any case, I wish you all the best, and good luck. I'll be keeping an eye on Hiro over the next few months still - I may even buy back in at some point in the future.

You people really now nothing about trading and investments. NEVER sell when the market is this low, NEVER. Just turn your PC and go somewhere, do not look at the exchanges for a few days at all. BTC related volatility and price decrease took place several times so far and EVERY time bunch of people reacted the same way - no patience to get through it and end up buying high and selling low. Sigh.......good luck bud.
