If its separate I can just replace the files within the .amsterdam2 folder as I did with an older bootstrap and see if that works.

I thought I'd got out of the woods with that bootstrap. Its not even loading the blocks from the bootstrap!
I've placed it in .amsterdamcoin2 folder and they're no bottlenecks on the system slowing it down. the wallet just doesn't want to sync.
EDIT: I checked the bootstrap and it was converted into bootstrap/old but the wallet is still on block 1057281 (12 weeks behind).

I will create another one by grabbing the whole ~.amsterdamcoin2 (without wallet.dat) and try that.
Start the daemon with the argument -maxorphanblocks=20000

I sent some AMS to the wallet before it stopped syncing. how do i get to these coins off that wallet? They wont show on the wallet until they are synced, but your saying the wallet wont sync....
I assume I can still transfer my AMS wallets private key over to the new wallet when its completed and my coins will appear?
EDIT: I've noticed you cannot export the private key until the wallet is synced. So a new wallet doesn't help me and I've lost the coins I sent to the V.3 wallet.

I've downloaded the amsterdam wallet v3.1.0.0-61403 - on a raspberry pi linux platform.
Its sync'ing incredibly slow. Stuck at around 24000 blocks (1 year 37weeks behind) - Is there an issue with the wallet sync as I've sync several wallets on pi and had no issues.
Please note, I'm syncing it as the only program running on the pi with the CPU usage under 20% and no read/write bottleneck that i can tell. Its also connected through Ethernet with 37mb/s download speed.
Is there a bootstrap available for the wallet or a setting I need to alter to improve the sync?

This is a known issue and we are working on the new wallet.

I agree, this coin needs a slack community if it's going to grow. A lot of investors will walk away right away if there's no slack.
