Wallet is not encryped you mean?
i dont use a password.
My wallet is encrypted, and locked wallet caused an issue with node dissappearing from masternode list.
If I unlock it through console it worked only for short time.

The wallet is too slow to sync, I think it's also necessary to renew this wallet so it's better in the future Smiley

We have been running AMS on our pool for a while without issues.

and only this wallet has no issues with orphan blocks cory? ...

a few wallets out of all of them - meaning basically 99% of wallets have an issue - doesnt resolve the problem ...

what procedure did you use to compile - and what os? ... that should determine what EXACT components and versions were used to make the compile work ...

that would be a great help ...

Yup, apparently to make it work you have to open the wallet, let it sync for 5 minutes until it gets stuck again then reopen, let it sink. Use the bootstrap to get to block 100k and then do this process of open/close/reopen until it's fully synced.
I don't know why, but this workaround run fine!  Grin

one reason ...

its because the longer you leave the wallet open - the more orphan blocks you get which 'clogs' your ability to stay on the blockchain ...

when you restart your wallet - it clears the peers attached and works for a short while - then all the orphan blocks start flooding your link again ...

workaround? ... a wallet that has this issue should NEVER have a 'windows style' of 'fix' as a workaround ... the 'in case of a problem - then restart windows' situation ... especially with wallets that have your coins in it ...

im looking if there have been fixes with other coins that have had this issue - and what was done to remedy it ... but i only have limited time currently ...

cant promise anything though ...

The wallet simply won't get synchronized, I don't have a low internet speed and the peers are added. I've even used the bootstrap but it won't load, it says there are about 3 weeks worth of blocks left but they won't load even if I leave the wallet open overnight. This is a big issue and needs to be solved immediately.

Yes, I have some problem like yours but you should restart this wallet some times once it's not synced. good luck.

Just made it bold and a little bigger to that people can see it easily.

EDIT: It might give you some errors sometimes but just close them and restart, it will work.

i wonder if you will get ignored ...

like i have been ... and many many others ...

pity - as this coin does seem to have some potential ...

So what did you do to help with this problem in the meanwhile? Except for writing great big stories about how great I am LOL. Are you going to help or are you just going to keep screaming from the side line?

RPC has no problems. We have a working pool and exchanges and that were not possible with an faulty RPC interface.

Syncing is slow and that will be solved.

help? ...

im NOT the dev of this coin - only a user and the dev of the pools and infrastructure of CWI ...

if i knew HOW to fix it keesdewit - dont you think i would teach you how to also? ... the lack of MANY pools - the lack of MANY exchanges - and even the block explorer going down on many occasions - and lets not mention the MANY customers that are having sync issues that have posted here on this thread - should show you that there actually IS an inherent problem with the code ... a one off pool - or one off exchange ( mind you yobit is ALWAYS going down as well ) - isnt proof that ALL compiles will work ... its simply NOT working as it should ... and having built MANY pools ourselves - and AMS is the ONLY one with these issues - that too should also prove to you that there is an inherent issue with it ...

honestly mate - i would LUV to help to fix this problem - as i would LUV to have another ( decent ) quark pool in the CWI-POOL system ... but not AMS mate ... the issues are way too great to implement as they are taking way too much time out of the ( already ) massive schedule i personally have - as well as all who are involved in CWI ...

i can say this much .. instead of actually defending this so called 'fact' that there is no issues with the code - why dont you actually LOOK at what the clients and investors of the coin are actually saying towards the sync and stability of the wallet ... this is a direct reflection of the core code being used ... if they are having issues - then the core code is more than likely the problem when the vast majority of customers have this issue ...

again though - had i the fix for this - i would push a fix for you in git ... i dont ... and with ALL the integrations and developments CWI is doing with our own coins - fixing issues for other developers is the last thing on our list of 'todo' ... thats YOUR responsibility ...

i would REALLY like to see this coins succeed - but your methodology of dealing with criticism is amazing ...

so instead of accepting that there actually IS a problem ( read the MANY pages of the MANY issues of almost the same problem ) and finding a solution - you come back and banter and provide a roadmap ...
instead of taking on MY thoughts and EXPERIENCES with the coin and code ( ie - taking on an EXPERIENCED crypto dev / member ) - you want to argue - and place the commitment of fixing YOUR code on MY shoulders ... how does that work? ...

honestly mate - the help that will come from CWI will only go as far as setting some of the infrastructure and systems in OUR ecosystem ... ie - pool and stats etc ... but that is OUR decision and OUR responsibility - not the code ... that is YOUR responsibility ...

we have our own coins to continue development with ...

tell you what ... you explain how else WE can help ( both CWI and community members ) - and we will look at avenues to do so IF we can actually do them ...

fair? ...

Hi Midnight_Miner,

I appreciate your devotion to AMS coin! I have followed AMS from the beginning and i bought some myself.
Can you explain to me what the big problem is and why the chain is not working properly?
Or in other words, what must be done to bring AMS back to working status?
I am no tech guy but maybe i can help with something?

Thanks in advance,

My introduction or connection to this coin was when it was a Scrypt based coin, and I mined a lot of it not long after it was launched.  I have been carrying my balance ever since and was hoping to keep it alive.

I have done a little investigation a few months back, and the problem that this coin is suffering from is related to the coin that this project is forked from.  The original coin was also suffering from orphan block issues.  I believe they took steps to remedy the problems.  It is a matter of updating the AMS wallet with the same fixes as the other wallet implemented.

I haven't looked at this in a while, and have been distracted by other projects.  But this coin is on my hit-list of "Cool Things to Fix in my Spare Time".

If and when we get the blockchain running smooth again, there will always be a need to promoters and networkers to help the coin.  I would be a bonus if those promoting the coin where in the Netherlands.

yes it should be so ..otherwise every one lose his heart and become hopeless. Kiss

Surely it is more realistic to try and get this coin listed on Bittrex? Or is there some history there?
