Hello, i know that cpu mining is dead for BTC.

That is why i mine altcoin in this pool.

The CPU mining is only used for me to test the process and to familiarize me to the mining process.

You miss all the important part with the GPU mining on the first part btw.
I don't want to buy materials to mine coins, it's only to make few money as i don't pay for the electricity use.

Thanks.

Dream become broken often
Hello,

First of all i am new on mining bitcoin so be indulgent ^^.

I have spend 1 night of mining last nigth (13PcrgreweyG7gJaVFqa9V65iVuxfNoUQF) and i have discovered this morning that all i have is rejected block.

Cgwatcher shown 35 found blocks with an average of 300 Mh/s.

Why theses results?

HD5750 X2 (crossfire)
Windows 7 pro legit updated
Latest non beta catalyst drivers
Latest non beta AMD SDK driver
cgminer 3.7.2 (3.8 does not support GC anymore) with cgwatcher (latest).

All the mining process seems to be fine, i don't have any hardware error.

Even with my other computer with my CPU i don't have any BTC.

Code:
bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.clevermining.com:3333 -u 13PcrgreweyG7gJaVFqa9V65iVuxfNoUQF -p testWam

Thanks for the help.

I think cause your trying to mine btc on a scrypt pool...doesn't work out so well...and if you're trying to cpu mine btc just stop..that was dead years ago...u need a asic machine now...and if ya buy one prepare to lose money

Hi, i have troubles with this pool... I set up all in guiminer but i get always this message : "No servers could be used! Exiting"

What is the problem? i have a AMD 6850

First, your AMD 6850 won't make any bitcoins at all, so give up on that.
If you still want to try, you need to use better stuff like cgminer or sgminer.

Hi Terk.

Sorry to ask again, but my 0.03 BTC are still stuck in unexchanged funds. Could you please see what's wrong ?
address : 123ta35pH43kosWrdf8rSeFUMWsVdNzETC

Thanks !

That 0.03 doesn't exist. It's a ghost amount, ignore it. I'm too tired of explaining.

Sad New to mining in general and generally mining on BTCGuild but thought I'd give this place a go...

Running same setup but literally getting 100% rejects whereas on the above pool getting almost 0% I'd like to try this site a bit more but cant justify leaving my 30Gh/s @ 100% loss.

tried the eu and the us stratums... same thing...  Huh

If you're mining on BTCGuild, that means you are mining Bitcoin on the SHA-256 Algorithm. 30Gh/s would be like a Rockminer, or a BFL.
ASICs can only mine on one algorithm only. Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASICs are for Bitcoin and other SHA-256 coins only.
This is a scrypt pool, for coins such as Litecoin or Dogecoin.
ahhh.... that makes sense.... 'told you I was a noob Tongue in that case... many thanks... I'll stick with what I got.

1: Clevermining.com "Pool 0 is issuing work for an old block: "  When it does this, the miners sit idle can take up to 5 minutes each old block.

Could somebody put more details on this? We are not mining on any old blocks for sure.

Maybe your miner considers a block as old if we switch back to a previously mined coin? Consider this:

1) We are mining block X of coin A.
2) Coin B just lowered difficulty and we switched to coin B as it became more profitable and we're mining block Y.
3) We mined block Y of coin B and its difficulty rose again so it stopped being profitable.
4) We switch again to coin A, but since it didn't have any blocks found in the meantime, we are mining on the same block again, so we try to hash again block X.

Could some mining software thing that this is an old block just because it was working on it previously, then switched to another block and then switched to the same previous block again? In single-coin mining this scenario (getting again a previously mined block) means that the pool sends an old block. But in coin-switching this is perfectly valid and your miner should continue mining on the block X without issues.

Is there a way to tell the mining software to ignore this error?

Wow! At 90 GH/s that one address accounts for more than half the entire pool size. That's an operation, not just some guy.

According to searches, I think this is the Chinese whale. I guess he grew up, because last I paid attention to him his farm was a lot smaller.

Dont you reckon it's >suchmoon< ?

I reckon it's one of those prepaid miner companies mining with as many of the prepaid miners as they can. Just keep announcing delays. When the diff gets to high dump them to the prepayers and count your profits. It's a win/win for them.
