Well I sort of feel like we are waiting to hammer out the details of POC2 before we can really talk to venture capitalists. Maybe that isn't needed.
But it probably would be a good idea to start approaching them.. maybe we can try to talk to the same ones that funded Hedgy and tell them we've already got smart contracts working

Without knowing all the details in this case, I'd offer a basic roadmap instead of an ETAs, due to ACCT's importance. However, they still can prove us wrong: If I had all the details, I might very well had done what Ian did.
Unfortunately just as the AT code for Qora was ready to be merged (on April 30th) a bug was found.
So although calling it by the end of April was arguably a "tough ask" it had looked possible (and I'd also hoped that putting out such an ETA might provide a bit of extra incentive). Anyway most importantly the bug has now been squashed and the work to get Qora with AT rolled out the door is underway (I am not going to try and rush that as quality code is more import than a precise ETA).
I won't call the date this time - but I am extremely confident that it will be days rather than weeks, and even if we end up being a week or two late, compared to Ethereum we are extremely punctual.

Not sure if you guys remember when I mentioned not finding many blocks while solo vs pool mining. There is still something weird about solo mining. I've been mining on pools and mining solo off and on. Whenever I go solo, the amount of blocks I find is about 50-60% of what I'm supposed to. I'm not talking about what the pool pays me, rather the amount of blocks I find while on the pool. This isn't just luck, I've been mining for quite some time and have quite a few data points built up.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but mining solo decreases the number of blocks I find quite a bit. I'm not sure why or how.

when you are soloing, you are running the wallet yourself.
i think, when you are pool mining, the wallet is running on the pool server.
the big difference here is if your clock is off 10 or 20 or 30 seconds. That will loose you a lot of blocks.
check your computer clock to the second, if it is more than a few seconds off, install "NetTime" or a similar product, and have it update your clock often enough that you never get a time off more than a second or two.
both windows 7 and windows 10 have built in internet synchronization, but they sync too infrequently, and are pretty bad at handling congestion and servers that are down, to be of any use for keeping the time within needed bounds for burst mining.
Some pools favor certain total plot sizes. If you are mining at a pool that favors close to what total plot size you have, you might end up getting more burst than you would solo mining.

a suggestion to an improvement of burst wallet :
Suppose the burst wallet tried to figure its own conception of what the utc really is.
for instance if peers exchanged what they were thinking that the time is, and what the system time is on their system, an algorithm could factor in own system time as well as all the peer system times, and the peer and calculated times, and then using wisdom of the crowd, derive a good estimate as to what time is.
Then that better time could be used for deciding when to broadcast a found block.
esp. on windows, system time is normally very unreliable, unless the user has installed programs made for ongoing adjustment. My 3 relatively highend motherboards all drift several seconds each day if i don't adjust them using non-OS programs.
i don't know if the miner also needs to know about system time - i don't think it does.
this will only help miners with bad clocks, not help the coin as such, so i guess not the highest priority.

it seems that burst didn't be updated for more than 2.5month, and the dev seems disapear for a long time, i am wondering whether the dev is still developing this coin? i have asked the same question one month ago, it seems lots of people said the the new update will come soon, but i didn't see any updates from the top of the thread now?

As far as I know, no severe setbacks have occurred and the first ever ACCT will happen soon. The exact date has not been arranged yet though.
I just hope the wider community recognise the potential and eventually start supporting it in other coins. This deserves to be so huge, but it seems like everyone is so focused on their own projects that ACCT still appears to be flying under the radar somehow. It effectively makes things like the supernet and blocknet concepts completely redundant, yet there was much more hype for those than there is for this. I don't quite get it. Maybe it'll change when that first transaction goes through and history is made.
That's an interesting question with, I believe, many answers.
First I want to say that i do not think ACCT will go unnoticed: We know the potential,meaning and future use of it, which our competitors also are aware of. This time we have same money to use professional serviced spreading the PR. Correctly formulated, the PR will make new press actors understand what is at stake, that X0,000BTC Goliaths are facing damn talented but dead-broke-Davids.
The fact that we can find suiting analogies already in the Bible is not in the current crypto media environment unimportant: Not only do we have technological significance and break-through research, but we also have a story to tell. Perhaps it's nerdy as hell but in 20 years, we might see a movie describing these months: It has the dynamic of a Hollywood drama.
Important to also note is that some of the major news crypto site aren't unfamiliar with BURST. We get contacted by companies wanting to working with us, but we might not have the funding for it.
At the same time we must understand that thousands of BTCs have power and will make things happen. Certainly we will meet both aggressively and negligence.
The noticed silence at this time is, I would say, due to the radio silence from the involved Devs. CYIAM made a bold statement, and if we to deal with a delay isn't good. ETAs are often wanted by community members, potential investors and the media. As Ian has a bunch of experience, he wouldn't give an ETA like that if it isn't close; at the same time we do know, based on empirical research of the logic of scientific and technological advancement, that ETAs tend to fail not so rarely which give bad press - when it in fact only is everyday research problems.
Without knowing all the details in this case, I'd offer a basic roadmap instead of an ETAs, due to ACCT's importance. However, they still can prove us wrong: If I had all the details, I might very well had done what Ian did.
All we can do now is only do a couple of things: Waiting for research to take the required time while we enjoy all the other forms of BURST advancement. We can also keep supporting BURST:
- buy more coins at these silly levels
- if there is time in your life, offer your help to the over all DevTeam at [email protected]
- donate some of your mBTC and BURST to the DevTeam, both to help out economically and but also show the Devs that we support them (addresses in my sig).
