Yea F@H hates my computers.

My 6950s/5850s only get 7k PPD per card now on Work Unit 8900 on Core_17.

I did try Core_16 but I don't remember my PPD.

It doesn't hate your computers, it hates your graphics cards :p AMDs are known to give less PPD than nVidia cards (hence the nVidia giveaway and not AMD).

Yea I know nVidia has the edge on this but on the other forums, according to other users Work Unit 8901 gave AMD 6950 users around 45k PPD per card on Core_17 (client-type=beta). I can't get the 8901 WU or anywhere near those PPD rates.

It's now client type advanced.  Not beta.

And folding no longer HATES AMD.  My 7970 can do 120K PPD.

oh, some balance showed up already. I'll install Globalcoin today to test it Smiley

Is there anything else to do right now apart from running the FaH client? Also what do the stats in the pools page mean? Are there blocks that can be found? or does that refer to WU of FaH?

can you make workuint of F@H become a block chain?
i mean
for example
i install wallet
it will get newest work from F@H server
i recived it
my wallet send bit to block chain let everyone know this is in work
it get other work for others
after time i broadcast to block chian that my work finish -> send to f@h server

i get coin, and start again form begining?

search for the [ann] curecoin thread, there is a pdf there that has some work someone did... its kinda hard to decipher... What the curecoin team has concluded is that folding in a block chain is probably years away, unless ( cygnus hopes for ) an establised university adopts the idea and puts their smartest people on it to make it happen. I believe that is one of the key points behind curecoin, is to encourage further advancements of the same kind.

i have to admit the idea of a university making an advanced curecoin with folding in the blockchain sounds like it could be freaking amazing. most alt coin dev teams consist of one or two people, imagine an entire group of universities working to perfect the coin.

and i havent forgot to adjust your user id in the system... just been working on this code for soo many hours.... 4 am here now.. might have to look into the fix tomorrow morn

Been LOVING this so far, glad I can do useful work for once with my computing power.

Anyhow, what does 'CDC' stand for, and what type of coin address should I put into the payout address? Cheers Smiley

Pretty sure it stands for "Center for Disease Control", also glad you're loving it!

score update now :v

ill get you fixed up soon... been working on this for 11 hours already today... probably will put another 4 in... lots of work has gone into this project

Im going to increase the pay rate on this soon, my apologies that current pay rate is slow right now... I dont want to accidently give them all away to one person though while setting up the pool!

Once the pool is a little more secure there will be 2000 DGC to give out, and 10k Gill coins... by the time we are done giving away these coins i hope that curecoin will be launch ready. ~ week or so hopefully...

Tonight ill send a few bonus rounds to the current folders for joining and getting to business so fast.

it looks like your first WU did not get counted , it shows 1 wu and 0 points for the wu.... this happens some times... keep trying  it will work.

We just had 2000 Digital Coins donated to give out during this project  Grin

Keep folding !

more good things to come.

The update will take place after your points show up on the rankings, and once the pools scraping/update script runs (every 12-24 hours)

Hmm, my GPUs are refusing to start folding but my CPUs are going along fine.

But at least I'm listed in the pool now.

Did you set your folding power to "Full"?  My gpu was idle until I set it to full.

Yup it's on full. Sad

The AMD GPUs in my 2 win boxes refuse to fold.

For newer GPUs: http://folding.typepad.com/news/2012/04/support-for-new-gpus-such-as-kepler-in-the-v7-fah-client.html

Also make sure drivers are up to date.

If your like me and have an AMD (or ATI) card on linux, your sol until AMD gets better OpenCL support in their linux drivers. I've just kept my GPU mining and CPU folding Smiley

Running this on my windows box for now and on 13.1 drivers. I tried the client type advanced tags but unfortunately still not working.

So.... NVidia cards seem much better at this right now. One 780 is getting around 31000PPD, while two 7950s are reporting 9000PPD (4500 each). Two 7950s is around the same price as one 780.

Got another 780 in-box that I was planning to open once the primecoin CUDA miner is released (if it turned out to be a bust, I would sell it new-in-box on ebay), but I'm seriously considering opening that sucker right now... Cheesy

Update - Improved the backend code a little more - updates to the pool page will take ~12 - 24 hours during initial phase. With some more tuning this will get better. i think with the improvements im ready to accept a few more people into the pool  Grin

Anyone who was on the original folding team should contact me as you have a reserved spot in the pool.

Payments for the first couple days will probaly happen once or twice a day, but im not done coding yet for the night so hope to see more improvement there soon.

Going to raise the max to 100 users now  Grin
