Datacoin profitability calc started. (thanks to anty.info where I took source code  Smiley )
http://datacoin.info/calc.htm
It needs some minor changes, but works now.

Please remember that block generation rate is 2x-3x more than expected just for now, so you can multiply results by 2-3
Hmmm... Not working ...

same here, does't work

I asked in a different thread: I have two wallets with mined balances. How can I bring them in a single one without importing each privatekey separately?

Not sure that it is possible without importing - it's not only datacoin-related question

We need a working pool Sad

People still report that they're getting blocks with solomining on non-cluster instances (home computers, some servers, etc). We're working at pool, but remember first many days of XPM: there was no pool, but people were successfully mining solo Smiley

PHS 50% PoS - Stop mining start minting

I made the other thread for discussion of those clients, but since you posted in both,

Make sure to check out http://anty.info/primecoin-calculator/ (a DTC one is coming soon)

Unlikely but I did see this once, Try to stop the client, wait a minute then restart, notice if it has any catching up to do, if it does should be fixed.

Last block generated by me:25 Nov 2013 18:30.... hmmmm... to much time with out generating blocks... grrrrr

Version: v0.1.2.0xpm-hp11-unk-beta
have the client been updated?

There are no updates for wallet itself, but you can look into 'faster miner' thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/optimized-datacoin-dtc-windows-win64-qt-solo-wallet-miner-347296

I added new nodes from oocook5u but it still doesn't work. I can't find a solution to my problem.

Here, a c/p from the debug file :

dnsseed thread start
upnp thread start
addcon thread start
Loading addresses from DNS seeds (could take a while)
0 addresses found from DNS seeds
dnsseed thread exit

I really don't understand...
Maybe someone can figure it out!

Thanks for helping.

Seems that no one faced that issue.
But oocook5u was right - DTC now uses XPM dns seed what is not good.
So I'm going to setup new DNS seed exclusively for Datacoin today, it will be added to wallet and sources, after it everyone can upgrade.
Anyway, can you try to use another computer to check that?

I tried nodes from bidji29 but it still doesn't work.

I also think about DNS, however I've got Primecoin gt installed and it works perfectly fine.
Can you be more precise?

Primecoin-qt works because it is using their OWN DNS seed server! Your no connection may be because you are trying to connect to primecoin-qt!

Btw, my datacoin-qt runs fine on my current computer but don't have connection when I try to run it on a new computer.

1. Please don't use Primecoin's DNS seed. This will not help.

2. I've restarted both hardcoded seed nodes. They are working now.

3. New nodes will be installed by my friends. I'll hardcode these IPs too.

4. Here is the list of working nodes I've found right now:

This coin looks exciting!  I've been wondering if something like this was possible.  It's really interesting to see how altcoins are starting to come full circle and add physical function to something that was originally just a currency.  Perhaps this way crypto can have more physical value than cash!

Crypto can be even MORE than a currency, it CAN hold physical utility, unlike fiat!
