No way, what would happen to all the people who bought ASICs?
Plus what assures that ProgPow will forever be ASIC-resistant? Why amputate the network of hashing power, making it less secure?
Reality has already shown everyone that Bitmain can make ASICs for any successful coin because they are good in doing it, and it's a profitable business.
While I understand that ProgPow is an algorithm written for an ASIC called "GPU" (yes a GPU is an ASIC!!!),
I do find it really unfair for those of us who already bought ASICs for the blake algorithm.
Glad you can't screw people over with a simple hard fork away from this because now we can also vote against it, hehe.

Maybe the person who proposed that is the same person with who I have been debating with in the development and technical discussion subforum. That would be funny.
