I posted this a long time ago. Anyone who read it & used it should have saved themselves a lot of cursing and trouble. Apparently devs didn't read it. That is why they only had single webwallet, explorer, fortunately more than one pool. Also the main functionality promised is all there but very crude, mainly commands/interface to properly use voting & PoS pool & need a lot of work from devs. I hope that they will reveal there airdrop addresses in next announcement so that everyone involved is assured about there honesty. Also the lots of new features are not visible because they are not gimmicks like anon messaging or other useless features that are easy to use & can be hyped. These are mostly for governance & decision making so you need to understand how things work before you can use them. I personally will not stake or move my coins until i know how to use coin control, be it CLI or GUI. Some of the disappointment is justified but it doesn't mean coin is not working, its just half baked IMO. Although I still give credit to devs for technical competence, its just they didn't have enough people in community to help others out. I hope we get some good peeps with some PR skills and more people helping with guides/documentation. I hope we see more detailed functionality in the future.

Sam, half baked things are never good. I got my airdrop coins, imported in web wallet, but now after few hours it's not working. It's giving me Insight Error. I'm not eager to sell the coins cause I would like to see how this will develop, but first impressions and signs are not good. People can't control their coins, price pump started, nethash pump started as well... Devs knew how much people participated for airdrop than they should know that much more will be on PoW lounch and what they did? They prepared 2 family sedan cars to transport 8000 people on 1000 km trip. That is not how you handle seriuos business.

Have anyone of you tried to withdraw funds from Blautrade? I have never heart of this Broker and I’m not so sure I can trust them. Many thanks for your feedback!

Aidrop addresses list is already public:
https://github.com/decred/dcrd/blob/master/chaincfg/premine.go

If you have a confirmation link registered and your address is not on list, you have been excluded.
That's the problem: They got 8k partecipants, they removed all scammer and apply only 3.2k checking manuyally every entry.
What is happened then since many users received no coins even after manually approvation?

It seems that there was another verification where from 3244 confirmed participants they excluded another 10% from the airdrop so final airdrop participants number is around 2970
I see a lot of adresses with 5000 coins. What is this? VIP airdrop?

Those are the dev coins

@DEVS: CHANGE YOUR TICKER FINALLY!! Coin with ticker "DCR" already exists for a long time, it is active and trading at Yobit. You are hijacking another coin, and creating conflict and confusion without good reason! People buying/selling one coin thinking it is another one!

Using ticker of another asset is also utterly unprofessional, I am surprised to see such level of ignorance from a supposedly professional crypto team.

Also - there were posts from one of the devs in this thread where he promised the Decred will not use DCR ticker. Its not a good sign to have broken promises from the very start  Angry. The one who brakes his promise once, will brake it again and again. I start to doubt the integrity and legitimity of this coin owners...

Right, this is the problem. Another verification based on what?
An "inside verirfication?" Like "we have 3 same ip , probably they are scammer, let's delete them from the list". "hey, but maybe they work in same office, we have already made manually verification and approved." "shut up an delete".
I didn't received any further communication by email or pm for this "another verification process".

Aniway, good luck. Hope decred will succed in crypto world.

They said that the additional filter will be made public soon, no info yet on what was that. Probably it was around the confirmation when people weren't careful enough, or if they could not provide ip in the same range for application and confirmation for example if someone used proxies to register and or confirm

to your stations, man the pineapples!!!
Is there any guide to using the wallet?

I'm guessing i'll need to add
externalip
to a .conf, but know not where the file should be??

Full history.
First it generates this error :
19:18:53 2016-02-09 [ERR] DCRW: Unable to create HTTP server: 'fe80::1%lo0' is not a valid IP address

Then from  https://github.com/btcsuite/btcd/blob/master/sample-btcd.conf

; Specify the external IP addresses your node is listening on.  One address per
; line.  btcd will not contact 3rd-party sites to obtain external ip addresses.
; This means if you are behind NAT, your node will not be able to advertise a
; reachable address unless you specify it here or enable the 'upnp' option (and
; have a supported device).
; externalip=1.2.3.4
; externalip=2002::1234

But using : externalip=x.x.x.x

results in
/Users/User/Library/Application Support/Dcrwallet/dcrwallet.conf:1: unknown option: externalip

EDIT
Going to decred forum to check it out.

WTH why didnt i know of airdrop before Sad You got 280 coins, when i spend like 200$ for 200 coins lmao.
I think you don't have to fear of a dump from airdrop users. We saw a little dumpfest on the very begining in the first few hours, but most of the weak hands fell out then. Now the price is climbing strongly with huge buy support

BTC was $1

Value is rarely seen Smiley

We have just started. Not even 1% of ETH's let alone BTC's market cap.

0.4BTC price would put us at ETH market cap parity.
