Hello,

If anyone would be interested in doing an interview or providing some information on EMC2 for an article, please PM me.  No charge.  I will send you a couple examples of recent articles I published.  I would post them here, but I don't want you to think I am trying to pump other currencies in this thread.

People don't really know EMC2 is being worked on and what the future plans are.  Let's tell them.

Thanks!

Hello again, we will definitely have something for you very soon. I am thankful for your offer.

..............

As it happens, we did want to post an update about posting an update.

Rather than go through everything one by one, we'll do a fancy post and newsletter and interviews and stuff.

Coming soon (TM) ...

Today I officially signed a 10 month lease on a lovely flat in Amsterdam. Story continues from here ... Cheesy

View from the flat ... it really does not get more ... Amsterdammy than this Cheesy

how can i create my own pool with NOMP ( node js pool software, https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal )?

i define rewardRecipients = {"EKnqTC9XEuucZEhD3miDGnbJxBptcxhByA":2.5}, so in blocktemplate there will go 2.5 % to that address. but it does not work: Pool Einsteinium Thread 1 Daemon instance 0 rejected a supposedly valid block. what else is neccessary?
also the pubkey does not work:  rewardRecipients = {"1cec44c9f9b769ae08ebf9d694c7611a16edf615":2.5} ( and yes, a pubkey is a possible value in NOMP )

i am not into these python scripts.. what does this pool do different, in principle? ( https://github.com/einsteinium/EMC2-Stratum-Mining ) i found the pubkey here.. but no further changes.. https://github.com/MatthewLM/CCC-Stratum-Mining/commit/0402833ec347819948b19b241aae454883040188
Think I'll have to ask a favour from Ray or someone to post a quick update to mining pool info and code.

could "Ray or someone" please respond now? it is not even possible to ask questions on github!

i can not create blocks. i write exactly the following as tx:
script: b'\x76\xa9\x14' + binascii.unhexlify("1cec44c9f9b769ae08ebf9d694c7611a16edf615") + b'\x88\xac';
amount: 2.5% of coinbasevalue

but daemon says:
{"result":"rejected","error":null,"id":1639}

what else does EMC2 do differently in blockstructure than bitcoin?

Hi...any news ??

Work is being done for website, wallet a new goodies.

Greetings from Amsterdam again.

These guys have Tesla cars like they are VW's/Fords ... and a fast charger on every corner almost. Why isn't the world more like Holland? Cheesy

Change comes easily to small countries where good tech means survival not just trendy discussion at the office party...

We will update the OP with the authentication and a the latest snapshot provided soon.

Cheers.

Thank you kiklo, you are a star. Why I never thought to ask for this I have no idea.

Very busy doing stuff to secure my winter life without having to resort to dumping coins or *shudder* go back to work ...
Like all great stories, there may be trouble ahead .. Let's face the music and dance .. Smiley

Hope to arrange a meeting with the professors .. four of them and talk about coins probably next month, or early next year. We've managed to cook up a great dev team and bringing in new people to crypto, mostly IT folks so it's good. Except they are busy and lazy in equal measure ...

We call it "blazy", it's a way of life...  Grin

All great engineers are lazy, why else would they make things to avoid dong them again? Cheesy

Looks like one final alt push, looks like some more money got hacked and added to crypto. We may be looking at January BTC pump after all.

There is more than one way to skin a cat ... or for a cat to get down stairs Cheesy

That cat moves like an Otter! But then, I call Otters "Water Cats" so I guess it fits...

EINSTEINIUM BLOCKCHAIN SNAPSHOT

 Cool

Thanks! You are providing a service often overlooked in crypto that would help a lot of newbies get involved without all the pain and suffering waiting for wallets to catch up. What would be cool if wallets included a direct link to the latest snapshot so you could simply click a button and have it downloaded and updated automatically. Or, include a bootstrap file with the wallet download (optional) that would automatically install.

Just some food for thought...

I like your idea of snapshot available for new users.
It could be added to the site right next to the wallet links. Will look into that for the website update.

Cool! I think anything, within reason, that lowers the bar to entry would increase the overall use of crypto in general. I read a lot of newbie posts about waiting for the wallet to catch up being frustrating and I know some of them are leaving because the overall impression is that the technology is old or buggy. Not the best presentation when trying to capture new users.
