Looking for a US or Canadian mining pool. Most pools listed on the OP are dead and the two that work are in Europe and Asia. Anybody have a working pool a little closer to US East Coast?

http://p2pool.thepeeps.net:41876/static/ is apparently located N/East US.

Thanks for helping. I am still getting "No Block Source Available" I deleted all files under c:\user\appdata\roaming.. except .conf and wallet.dat but still can't get wallet syncing..  Cry

Very odd thing you got going there. Something must be blocking it. Try a whole new thing, move wallet.dat to safe place and remove everything.
Then unzip this https://www.dropbox.com/s/gx3t29k7upuqcn9/Einsteinium.rar?dl=0 newly synced folder (without wallet.dat) and place it in Appdata>Roaming and run the wallet.
It doesn't have .conf file, but I never needed it. Maybe add .conf if it doesn't work and once it syncs copy your own wallet.dat replacing the newly created one.

If that doesn't work .. I really don't know.

How many Einsteinium are there, and how many could exist eventually (the cap)?

It says 300 million in the OP but I don't know which figure that is.

EDIT: OK, seems from the block explorer that 157219147.36476931 presently exist  Cheesy

I would like to donate 0.1 BTC, 5 LTC, 100k Doge, 1000 Cinni, 10 CLAMS, 2million ZEIT, 50k THC, 10 XBC and 250 Block to the campaign.

Once we get started, will be listing various coin addresses to send funds to for the campaign.

Recommendations to the Board with http://www.btc38.com/ communicate, BTC38 is the largest exchange, if EMC2 can shelves BTC38, then it will be a huge success

Thanks for your message afeizhai, as you may remember, a couple months ago we conducted a giveaway at the site.  In fact, Oldminer and Djnocide contribute lots of time and energy in the preparation of that promotion because we believe as you indicate that BTC38, and the Chinese crypto market in general, would be very good for EMC2.  However, the promotion was ineffective.  The campaign needed someone to communicate with the site members in words, and terms they understand, the campaign needed you.

The board agrees with you -- EMC2 should be on BTC38.com, and we know we need a point person for the endeavor, you need to let me know when you are ready to take the lead on that project.   I'll do all I can to provide various levels of support, but this time we need to experience success.

With your help we could get EMC2 on BTC38.com.

btw, that's a great signature

Well that was an eventful start to the project funding.

Lets see what the weekend has in store for us, shall we?  Grin

Of course I missed most of the Poloniex trollbox chat as had a busy day at work, but it was pulsating at 6pm.

I can't find the instructions in the thread about how to import android wallet backup into a qt wallet (windows here).

Anyone can help me with that? I think the original instructions were from bobsurplus

If it were me, I would just dump the private keys from your old wallet, and then import them into your new one.  This way you don't need to mess with pywallet, or different versions of BDB.
I figured it out. Looked in the github and surely enough it said how to do it. I had to use openssl to decrypt.

Thanks

Einsteinium was created with 3 critical missions in mind:

1) Goodwill Mission
2) Increase Valuation Mission
and
3) The Philanthropic Mission

Our Goodwill Mission is to tell everyone in the cryptocurrency world, the scientific world, and the charity world that we are here.   Our Increase Valuation Mission is to preserve and increase the public market value of our currency such as to make it an attractive investment opportunity.  And, our Philanthropic Mission is to, in some small way, fund scientific research.

This project -- The Havekes Project (named after Dr Havekes), will benefit the grant recipient, but it will also help in the redevelopment of Einsteinium (the coin, foundation, and community).

In an effort to maximize community participation and performance Dr. Havekes has authorized the following graduated incentives:

The foundation guaranteed a minimum of $1M EMC2 equal to ~$500.   If the crowd funding campaign received more than 1M EMC2 (~$500) from outside of foundation resource the foundation would be reimbursed for initial deposits.  The financial incentives are activated when the campaign reaches $1000:

At level 1 the goal is $1,000  up to $1999, at this level EMC2 will receive 10% of amount raised, this will be used to pay for campaign fees charged by the site and Paypal, campaign perks (if not covered by sponsors), and a stipend to campaign workers for reaching this level of success.

At level 2 the goal is $2,000  up to $4999, at this level EMC2 will receive 15% of amount raised, this will be used to pay for campaign fees charged by the site and Paypal, campaign perks (if not covered by sponsors), and a stipend to campaign workers for reaching this level of success.

At level 3 the goal is $5,000  up to $9999, at this level EMC2 will receive 20% of amount raised, this will be used to pay for campaign fees charged by the site and Paypal, campaign perks (if not covered by sponsors), and a stipend to campaign workers for reaching this level of success.

At level 4 the goal is $10,000  up to $49,999, at this level EMC2 will receive 22% of amount raised, this will be used to pay for campaign fees charged by the site and Paypal, campaign perks (if not covered by sponsors), and a stipend to campaign workers for reaching this level of success.

At level 5 the goal is $50,000  or more EMC2 will receive 25% of amount raised, this will be used to pay for campaign fees charged by the site and Paypal, campaign perks (if not covered by sponsors), and a stipend to campaign workers for reaching this level of success.

The campaign staff for the Havekes project are:

- The Fundraising Committee - to generate funds for the campaign
- The Communications Committee - to keep the media well informed
- The Marketing Committee - to tell everyone else to support the effort
- The Finance committee - to oversee the finances

The amount paid to EMC2 above any reimbursement, site fees, paypal fees, and perks not covered by sponsors, will be allocated as follows:
20% to the chairman of the fundraising committee, 20% to the top producer, 18% to the runner-up, and the balance of incentive funds will be shared equally between the remaining registered paid campaign workers (the remaining members of the Fundraising Committee, the Communications Committee chair, the Marketing Committee chair, and the Treasurer).

The President will oversee all operations and be acting Treasurer, he will appoint the Fundraising Committee Chair, Communications Committee Chair, and the Marketing Committee Chair.   All other members of the Fundraising Committee are self-appointed, the roll is open until the close of appointments.   Once we start the campaign no new names will be added to the list of paid campaign associates.

Please indicate if you would like to be involved with the campaign and to what extent, everyone will be considered.

Job descriptions will be detailed shortly.

Hello there!

Really nice to see this coin alive and kicking again!

Im willing to sponsor the crowd funding campaign for The Havekes Project to the extent of 500K EMC2.

The first 250k EMC2 part in the name TitanBIT exchange.
Second 250k EMC2 part in the name of Knights of Malta.

Send me foundation address please.

Regards,

Saso Mezgec
CTO @ TitanBIT.Net

Absolutely AMAZING ... WOW!!!

You amazed us when you donated 50,000 EMC2 about 2 months ago, setting a donation record. Then you
wowed us yet again with another record breaking donation of 200,000 EMC2.  Not to mention all of the
other donations that provide many resources for the EMC2 community including but not limited to our
fantastic block explorer, Rich List, and API.

I'm floored yet again with this new record-breaker, 500,000 EMC2 at the very HEIGHT
of the market.

On behalf of The Havekes Project, The Einsteinium Foundation, and EMC2 (the coin)

Thank You.

I can't find the instructions in the thread about how to import android wallet backup into a qt wallet (windows here).

Anyone can help me with that? I think the original instructions were from bobsurplus

If it were me, I would just dump the private keys from your old wallet, and then import them into your new one.  This way you don't need to mess with pywallet, or different versions of BDB.
kinda trying to find how to do that. Cause my android wallet stopped syncing last night.
