I'm not afraid that Dev will disappear (run with the money, scam us, etc) but what in case if something bad happens with him?
Do not get me wrong, I hope he will be healthy but unfortunately accidents can happen any time
That could happen with any other coin. With time XGR would need a dev team of several persons, maybe a foundation or real company behind it.
I will start worrying about that when we have more than a few grams of gold to show. I've seen devs dump small fortunes and disappear every day, incredible stunts like the ICB ico on bittrex (60BTC!!!!) and people not even complaining. and here is someone building a coin slowly and steady. I'll say again, even without any gold, I'd still invest on dev presence alone. Confidence is the most scarce commodity in cryptos right now, not gold.
My first stunning and sad experience was Emiratecoin! I thought that will be a great coin, Dubai, rich sheiks, etc, and then the dev dissapeared with 180 BTC!!! Mining never even started!
it is so sad that talented programmers, people with great ideas are just became scumbags when they get in touch with a bit more money then they can imagine!
I mean, lets be honest, we invest or start mining because we see the potential in a great idea, something unique!! USBcoin is a great example! Unique perspective, Bittrex put them almost instantly! 1 day later, they waited till 3 am when US sleeps, and they created 20 mill coins by changing the source code and they dumped it! Bittrex admit that only 2 accounts dumped that huge amount of coins! So assumably there were 2 programmers, who come up with a great idea, then they were able to create this scam! It is so stupid!

I understand that it is fast money, but come on, if you have a brain to come up with an idea like that, then you can create an enviroment where you can get that much money without scamming people! I admit that will take months, but that is big money even for a couple of months.
One of my university teacher said that if you want to be successful, you have to come up with a long term, sustainable business modell. That is a key to success, because then you will have a salary, earnings for years.
