This is easily a $30 coin in the making. You all have a front row seat

can you pls elaborate on this? what does KMD offers that other coins don't?

It would be better if you read some of the previous posts from JL777B.  If you are really interested you would do your own DD instead of asking.

I have already done this...I need less technical explanations.

The very first page of this thread practically summed it up what Komodo is going to offer. It is very much straightforward . I can't see any reason why is so complicated for a crypto investors/enthusiasts.

Hi Komodo, There's this new Chinese exchange called https://www.binance.com
Maybe they can add Komodo so that the Chinese community can trade Komodo.

there is actually a list of reasons why kmd is top coin other than the dpow. i will provide additional xample, look at zcash- code saw a 1/4mil $ audit. those coins over $200 atm. if for no other reason (and there are still plenty other reasons) this makes kmd awesome. a zero knowledge coin that costs only $1.3? remarkable. so zec has 10x fewer coins just say this kmd in relativety to zec is at $13 right now still a great buy.

personally i dont care much about the side chains and dpow. the z transactions and atomic swaps along with helpful and smart dev team will bring this coin to a great level. personally i think calling it a $30 coin (futures) is insulting. it is superior to zcash bitcoin and etherium in plenty of ways. when i look at a coin i ask "what is the utilitity?" and is the dev team "for real" actually providing what was promised.

from justv a few month interaction with kmd i can see this coin will be chosen for greatness. just that most people glaze the surface and dont see potential. as mr t. says "i pity the fool" that sells kmd for pocket change.

ps i have no affilliation with komodo i have used this screen name sinxe before ever hearing of it. good day

Komodo uses dPOW (distributed proof of work) which stores the komodo transactions within the Bitcoin blockchain for extra security... there is no other coin out there that does this.

Ok, let's say I just launched my OwnCoin, how can I take advantage of KMD dPoW?

In a similar manner to how kmd writes to Btc blockchain  your Owncoin would have notaries that would submit txs to kmd network.  Being that kmd is 4000x less in price it is an attractive solution for coin developers.

I still haven't claimed my KOMODO from the ICO website. Is there any final deadline to do this?

Thanks

Yes, there is a deadline. It's in January 15th. After that date the ICO site will be closed for good and all unclaimed coins will be added to our working capital.

Afaik, no detailed information has been released about this yet (except for this list: http://explorer.supernet.org/). If you have questions about the technical aspects of third-party coins, I suggest you join the supernet slack and they will be happy to help you out: http://slackinvite.supernet.org/

Do it as soon as possible. Then you'll begin to accrue interests from your kmd. ICO site isn-t minded to be a wallet  and, yes, there is a dedline after 8th Jan 2018.

Payout date is coming  close 18th august i am so exciting and that means there is 99% of chance KMD Will  pump  before the payout date All kmd holder
will be in heaven in PAYOUT date

Why should be that?

To collect interest, do you need to send the entire balance or just a small amount like .001 KMD? I have sent a small amount and noticed maybe 2/3 of my interest is credited but not all, might this be why?

These two links state both ways:
https://support.supernet.org/support/solutions/articles/29000011838-how-to-claim-your-interest - whole balance

https://steemit.com/wallet/@alberm/agama-wallet-komodo-kmd-interest - says small amount.

To claim interest you must spend the utxo related to the interest. Since coin control evades most people and it is not easily done I suggest you send the entire balance. This guarantees you are including said utxo in the transaction which in turn claims your interest. Use the guide we published in supernet.org.

Thanks, where can I learn more about sending just the utxo related to the interest? I am much more comfortable sending .001 KMD multiple times then my entire balance. I double check my address but, one mistake and everything could be gone!

Since I filled my wallet with 3 different purchases, they must be under different utxo's. Is interest collect also a differnt utxo?
each utxo accrues interest independently
you can do a listunspent command to find out how many utxo you have
then do that many 0.001 tx one after the other before the previous ones get confirmed

that way all the utxo will get used up.

the rules are quite simple, i have stated them many times, i guess I can again:

1. must be over an hour old
2. must be for 10 or more KMD
3. must have nLockTime set

accrues up to 5% of utxo amount at a rate of 5% per year

when you spend that utxo you are able to collect the accrued interest for that utxo.

Just actively using your funds will have the effect of collecting most of the interest. but to be sure to collect, you can do any variety of methods that ends up using the utxo with accrued interest.

you could even make a special program that identifies all the utxo with enough meaningful interest accrued and specifically spend only those utxo. Using standard createrawtransaction, signrawtransaction and spendrawtransaction will be sufficient.

If somebody wants to write such a utility, my guess is he would get quite a lot of donations and maybe even a bounty can be created

So I found a way of collecting interest, just by sending .001 KMD instead of my entire balance. The key is to make sure your smallest transaction has accumulated 10 KMD in interest (as required by the KMD protocol). In my case I had sent KMD to my wallet 3 times, with the smallest transaction being ~8900 KMD. It takes about 8.2 days for 8900 KMD to accumulate 10 KMD. So I simply wait 9 days and then send .001 KMD and I see virtually all the interest is sent.

Here is the formula for knowing how long it takes to collect 10 KMD:

# of days to collect 10 KMD = 10/((#KMD of smallest transaction in wallet x 5%)/365 days in the year)

So in my case:

10/((8900 x .05)/365) = 8.202

Nice maths, there!
I sent 1 KMD once to my wallet to make sure I was doing it right.... Would take about 10.000 days to accumilate 10KMD iterrest on that. I think I'll stick the the old solution and wait for a CLAIM INTEREST button Wink

In my understanding 1 kmd isn't enough. 10 at least. Interests can be less

Another 158 KMD block was found in Supernova pool

what this means?

It means that someone didn't get interests from its UTXO because of bugged wallet ...and miners share them.
Still waiting 630kmd
