You must export the privatekey your BTCDs were in. I believe the command is 'dumpprivkey' or something similar. Join our Slack and ask in #BTCD channel, there is always someone who is able to help you.
We don't have childchains/sidechains, we have independent blockchains that are able to speak to each other, and with that tech we can do things like atomic swaps. REVS blockchain is already created, there's just no GUI to manage your REVS yet.

No, the results are hidden until the elections are over. After elections we will publish everything, and the results can be validated by a third party.
There could have been some potential problems if we would show the results in real time, such as delaying your vote to the last minute.

What do you mean by locking it? We will lock them when we distribute the KMD, and thus it is important that everyone makes sure they have the seed stored in a safe place.
If your seed does not match with the public KMD address visible in your ICO page you will lose your investment!Make sure you got your seed, and double check it matches. Here are instuctions:
