Any word on a gpu miner?
I dont expect there will be one to begin with but given a few days from release someone will likely code some mining software that be used for GPUs, just keep your eye out. But dont trust anyone here unless they release the source code.

Check reddit and twitter for the update. Apparently everything crashed as soon as it was launched due to too many people accessing it, so they have delayed it till tomorrow. this forum even went down breifly but I expect that was more hype for the coin by a select few clever people (this site gets a HELL of a lot of traffic for one alt coin to take it down). Also that event has given Max's official channel a lot of extra viewers, the news of it seems to be there only, so he's just got a lot of new people to visit the site: http://www.maxkeiser.com/2014/02/maxcoin-takes-down-bitcointalk/
I call BS tbh as it fucking easy to create a torrent, use a cloud service like dropbox/mega or another service that would pretty much not able to be DDOS'd. But meh. Try again tomorrow at 19:30, if you still trust this coin. I'd rather mine doge tbh now. Sketchy start is probably an omen.
Maybe I am being too pessimistic, but hey.

yeah right, can anyone even log in to this site?
I'm using Linux (not that it should matter). I created an account then I tried to log in with both Firefox and Opera and it doesn't do anything. I click "login" and it shows the login page again. Whatever, not gonna trade there I guess.

Why are you trusting an account with only 2 posts? If the "developer team" is not posting more stuff it's a warning that they are going to dissapear when things get ugly and probably just dump all their coins as soon as they can.
