If I'm right, and those four blocks in a row were missed by the one guy just because of a glitch, then he must have 20 times the combined hash rate of everyone else!  Shocked

Me and my rig are feeling very small right now. I'm going to bed.

But at this rate, he / they / it is going to kick us back up into the high diff, won't it / he / they?

He didn't get 66677 -66680. That's half of the ones he missed right there.
@atheistftwins: Your pool got those. Grats!  Cheesy

hope the hash sticks around for a bit, its going to power us through these blocks but then once diff skyrockets again, if it bails then we are back to square one again lol

I can't imagine anyone doing this then leaving...NYAN is currently far from the most profitable to mine at diff 9 right now, the only motivation that anyone would realistically have for doing this is to get us to 67000. Otherwise, they're just blowing money for no reason.

BTW, of those eight blocks he missed, several of them were in a row, like he glitched out for a bit. He didn't get 66677 -66680. That's half of the ones he missed right there.

But man, this guy would have to have like at least 500mh/s under his control to be able to do what he's doing, pretty crazy.
Wouldn't he need even more than that?

From 66603 to 66690, these are his blocks:

66603   66604   66605   66606   66607   66608   66609   66610   66611   66612   66613   66614   66615   66616   66617   66618   66619   66620   66621   66622   66623   66624   66625   66626   66627   66628   66629   66630   66631   66632   66633   66634   66635   66636   66638   66639   66640   66641   66642   66643   66645   66646   66647   66648   66649   66650   66651   66652   66653   66654   66655   66656   66657   66658   66659   66660   66661   66662   66663   66664   66665   66666   66667   66669   66670   66671   66672   66673   66674   66675   66676   66681   66682   66683   66685   66686   66687   66688   66689   66690

In that entire run, he only missed eight blocks. He's getting 90% of all blocks. So his hashrate must be 10 times the combined hash rate of everyone else.

I just checked the blockchain.

Essentially all the new blocks are almost entirely going to this guy:

KRNboASVYKYMuH1ivzq5aqLWFfTebLwF3K

Is he a huge solo megahasher and the pools are misreporting the actual network hash? I hope so...
That would make sense.

BTW, I saw how your pool was practically taking every other block just before 66600, from looking on its website. That was a big difference.

It's also worth noting though that all of this guy's coins were moved to this account:

KDJ9B3MedQwdkbKUGnhTbBvq27duXBCv9i

Where it has been untouched. I don't think this is behavior multipools would have. But man, this guy would have to have like at least 500mh/s under his control to be able to do what he's doing, pretty crazy.

Edit: Apparently this has also happened before around block 61000 where he just came in and blew through 800 blocks. Makes me think this might be some sort of multipool or a gigahasher  Shocked

Now I'm seeing the net hashrate increase. The two pools I'm in haven't found anything since 66600, but they are so tiny that doesn't mean anything.

I'm on nyanmine, which supposedly has half the network hash, but only solved like 3 blocks since 66600...this is definitely incorrect. I just really want to know where the blocks are going...

I count 6 blocks...

Do you believe in luck?

Do you believe in block 666 * 100?

I believe we have a problem, either in the reporting of the difficulty or the reporting of the hash rate.

Worst case scenario is that the code completely got screwed up, which would be terrible.

I said that yesterday and blamed it (mistakenly) on KGW. Apparently its something else.

Best case would be that even if this is glitching out right now, it will only glitch out for 400 blocks, and KGW will kick in and save the day. Hopefully all is well.

*fingers crossed*
