Hello

Is it possible to mine on Intel 2117U? Is 10 h/s  normal or am I doing something wrong?

Well if it connects and gets data from the node then it is working. If you can see if building the block or hashing away then you are good to go.

What hash rate do you get with that miner on the pool?

I don't see very well, is this the coin that goes through the deposit wallet and then goes to forge more COINS?Something like masternode?

We are not a masternode coin like Dash and others.

This coin is POW and can be mined with a CPU only and you can mine solo, cluster or pool.

This coin is POS and pays staking interest on balances that sit in the wallet. The payout is every single block and the wallet does not have to be unlocked or online to receive payout.

This coin has term deposit where you can deposit (lock) coins. You can lock coins for minimum of 2 days to maximum of 1 year. The longer you lock the coins the higher and higher the interest payout you will get. While the coins are locked you cannot move or spend them. As with the POS you do not have to unlock or have your wallet online to get the full term deposit payout.

In summary ROI Coin is a triple hybrid coin. POW | POS | Term Deposit

Your interest in the coin is appreciated and if you have any questions or concerns I will be happy to help out as best I can.

I have an older CPU with 6 cores but no AES support. I cannot afford to buy a new CPU at the moment but I am loving mining your coin so far I have massed about 300 give or take a few.  I would really like to mine in the cluster but it seems that I cannot because all the optimized miners for the cluster are for AES-NI enabled CPU's only. Is there a way that you can optimize a miner without AES support (such as cpuminer 3.5.9.1) to work with the cluster as well. I would just like to say that I am enjoying actually being able to mine this coin on my aged hardware and I would like to see if i can get a few more coins under my belt.

Hi there,

Thanks for your QQ. I cant 100% say it will be easy for you to mine the cluster node. But I will help if I can. CPUminer will not work on the cluster as of yet. There is a bug in the code on the longpoll. I have not had the time to change it and may never get round to it because I am but 1 man and have a load of other projects I am working on.

1st download http://roicluster.miner-pools.com/downloads/solominers/roi-coin-hodlminer-wolf-2-cluster.rar

unrar it. Then edit the bat file to change the .exe you change it to each one untill you find one that works. (I hope you do) but if you cant find one that works for your cpu then I am sorry but for now the cluster pool will be out of reach for you.

So if the stock file dont work (code under) Then change it to see if you get one that works. Also change -t 4 to -t 6 I will do it for you this time.

Code:
roiminer.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-aes.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-bdver2.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-bdver3.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-haswell-broadwell.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-sandybridge-ivybridge.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-silvermont.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-westmere.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Test each one of them lines of code. If more than one works remove -q -P and you can find the fastest one for your CPU and mine with that. Dont forget to change the address for yours.

Hope this helps you!

Regards,

Raster.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately I have tried all of them and none of them work for me.  I know the regular hodlminer.exe the non-wolf version  works for me and I can connect to the cluster address with it and it shows that it is mining. Does that mean that it is working and I will get the correct payout? I dont want to spend a whole lot of time mining and it isn't really correct because the miner has to be optimized for the cluster. I dont know what if any changes have to be made to the mining software to make it work correctly with the cluster. Excuse my ignorance but I am pretty new to this whole thing.

I love reading this post! One thing that was important to us when putting this coin together was to create a coin that would give people a chance. As you know and if you look around and try to mine it's like being a minnow in a shark tank... most coins require expensive graphics cards or high dollar ASICS to mine. The problem with this is it keeps the coin away from the masses and so it's only people who can afford to make substantial investments in hardware who can successfully mine these coins.

We want people to be able to get into this coin easy. Buy it, mine it, grab a bounty whatever you can do. Then we have things set up so that once you get a few coins together you have options to increase them via POS and term deposits. Here again we tried to target the coin to the masses and so you will notice that ROI Coin will POS and term deposit with the wallet locked and completely offline. As you know nearly all coins require you to unlock your wallet and keep it running to stake. Not everybody can do this and not everybody can afford the electrical costs and wear and tear on their hardware. ROI is different and gives people who cannot leave a wallet running the exact same payout for POS and term deposits. This also opens the door to paper wallets which we are working on. In other words you can term deposit ROI coin in a paper wallet and get the full term deposit payout and never even open the wallet!

On your request for additional cluster mining support I would defer that to TheRaster who runs the cluster pool. He has done an incredible job setting this up for the community and from what I've seen he also does a fantastic job responding to and supporting any questions that arise within the community.

Welcome to the community and your enthusiasm and positive experience mining just makes my day!

Thank you for the quick response and I will be sure to contact TheRaster about this issue. And I just made my first term deposit tonight of 293.77877466. I went with 12 months as it is by far the largest gain. We will see how it fairs in that time but either way it has been fun to learn to mine and its nice to see the devs so involved in their project. Just keep up the good work and hopefully your project takes off and we can all make a few bucks off it Smiley
Nice choice! I also started mining today on a single computer. I want to set up a cluster next week and looking forward to deposit some coins Smiley
The romanian translation is available here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annroi-roi-coin-hibrid-minerit-solo-doar-cpu-15-pos-593-depozit-2601013
I think this project will have a nice future and i will lock a part for one year and start trading small amounts of ROI!

@Colake are you a native speaker of the Romanian language? I looked at your profile and saw only a few posts but none of them in Romanian so I was just curious Cheesy

That's just crazy. A person just deposited 589617.10033113 ROI coins. That person will have 13,000,000 coins on March 30, 2019. Even if ROI stays on 0.00000047 BTC, that's around $120K. Lucky one!

It seems that ROI is a great coin to invest into.

This large coin movement isn't a term deposit. It was just a dev moving coins from point a to point b no worries...

Current calculations project the fork to occur on or around 2 a.m. Monday December 18th central standard time.

On another note some of these recent treads has got me to thinking a nice wallet improvement would be a feature update that provides a simpler way to locate term deposits that have expired as well as staking coins that have expired. You know an easy way to click - click and reset them.

jesus hell tho, to wait that long for the coins?  what did they cost him now, over 5200$?
His bet here might be the price of BTC itself Cheesy
even if ROI is worth 10 satoshi, BTC will prob be 60k+ USD by then.
Smart move if your just looking to tie up some funds for a while, but dont lose that priv key! haha

Interesting coin! I think this is a really nice project.. I want to start mining in the pool. are you interested in a translation for the romanian section? I could do it!

I would do the Translation and then show the devs. They will reward you for your work.
