Can anyone try to explain or send me a link that explains, the block rewarding system. If I do find a Block,do i keep the 77KDC or is it shared amongs the pool?  Huh

If you solo mine, you keep the entire block (in Riddick terms: You keep what you kill)

In prop pools, you get a proportion of any block found by the pool proportional to your hash rate versus the total hash rate of the pool.

In pplns pools, you get paid based on the last number of shares submitted by you, shares are submitted essentially proportionally based on your hash rate, and usually have a cap to make it a little more fair so that the big fish in the pond don't get all the credit, but they still get more credit than the little fishies since they rack up shares a lot faster.

So yes, in pools you will share that 77KDC per block with everybody in the pool so some extent.

If you are SOLO mining, and find a block YOU keep the whole amount.

If you're on a POOL and find a block, it's distributed among the miners.

A POOL is better for coins that reach a high diff. You get a contant payout of coins, EVEN IF you DONT find any blocks.

Hope that helps.

Windows 8, cgminer-3.11.0-1-windows

C:\cgminer>cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://kdc.cryptofountain.com:3313 -u user -p password

Why I get this:

cgminer: --scrypt: unrecognized option

Thanks.

Because scrypt was dropped.  Use  v3.7.2

Could you please send me the download URL? Thx.

Only if you promise to hash with PoolMineWith.Us.  Grin

Just kidding.  http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/

coi nsi goign down badly in price - seems dying

Haha, do you want to see what happend with DOGE ?

Coinmarket.io is not popular, buggy and still in beta.
When KDC going to be added on CoinedUp or Crypsty, it's going to be good.

And with the actual price (0.00016800 BTC per KDC) it still more profit than DOGE
With 2237kh/s -> 295.865 KDC per day.
295.865 * 0.00016800 = 0.04970532BTC (= 41.45$)

DOGE with the same hashrate give me 29.94$ (calculed with Coinwarz)
RPC give me 30.44$ (Coinwarz too)

Hey OP - I just noticed the klondikecoin.com website was never updated to reflect the difficulty retarget change.  Might want to update that.

Difficulty retarget change?  What do you mean by that?

The retarget is every block and not every 24h (Kimotos Gravity)

Was that changed recently to every block or was was it always that way?

Happened at block 32000.  It's all in the op.

Dev forked the coin some time after launch, adding Kimotos gravity well in order to deal with multipools.

i think i mined enough for now, i'm gonna buy rather than mine the rest later on when i think the price is right to speculate on a big exchange, moving my miner to PotCoin  Smiley

Why PotCoin? I'm mining CASH now, for the same reason as you.
