When trying to find a suitable, LONG TERM, name you should consider: it best have a meaning, should be easy to pronounce in most languages, easy to remember and in best case, no association with other words or bad feelings.
Except "association with other", Simcoin satisfies all of them
Honestly, I don't think names are all that important. That's another kind of bikeshed issue.
Language is flexible, I posted examples before. The essence is what's important.
If people can use Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften, they can use Simcoin
Ofcourse, but Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften are all about the Euro's :0.
I am sure most people won't feel confident buying simple coins and needs much more explanation than necessary. It would be like "simple pc security" or "simple online bank". Beside, SIMcard, SIMsons, the SIMs and probably more associations that would harm the original, great, intention. Really, if you can make your idea work, this is what people are waiting for. I can imagine a SIMCARD (like the bankcard/creditcard) pay terminal next to visa's, with no difference in transaction speed. But o, which Simcard?
Your new project is about a simple to use system, security, speed, groundbreaking tech. The "coin" (i rather call it a digit since coins are not virtual) is not even SIMple. Its just between the ears. A name to describe your coin best would be GENiousprotocolwhileeasytousecoin.
"Cobbler, stick to thy last"
